G6r Lpr housing

Guys I have recently got another g6r and have come to service the Lpr. I found that the Lpr housing is threaded so I can not remove the cap. Do you know where I will get a replacement housing? Also I am in the uk

James

You're positive that you need a new housing? Is the 'LPR Assembly' cross-threaded into the body? Is the 'LPR Cap' stuck on the 'LPR Housing'? Is this a 2011 or 2012?

Yep the the lpr cap is stuck to the lpr housing. It's a 2011 Texas storm. Thanks for all the help guys.

Are the front and rear hex key areas stripped out or something? If not it should come apart. As you know these two parts are reverse threaded. Lefty tighty - righty loosey. Completely remove the LPR adjuster screw out the front, insert a hex key in both pieces and grunt a little (maybe apply a little heat).

Btw, I have a 2011 TS and just trying to save you a long distance international call and some $$$.

Good luck.

Yep tried all the above and maybe threaded got lost in translation. Stripped out is the word I was after pal. Managed to get it off but had to use a locking clamp and some elbow grease. It's off but I have made the call and got a price from blast as I don't want this happening again in the future.

Just out of interest what colour is your g6r, looks like lime green and something. Mine is titanium and lime green.

Thanks for your help guys much appreciated

Yea, I have the first one of the 10 of those AES released. Also, that lime green is different than what BLAST is releasing now so make sure they know that.

It's only the back of the housing I need anyway. The part that has the shrader valve in so colour won't matter. They are wicked looking in this colour. Just out of interest how would I know what number mine is?
