Israel aggression against Hamas?
http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/15/world/...html?hpt=hp_c2
A 13 year old boy was killed, most of the bombings are in Gaza so far. Syrian rebels have moved into villages near the Golan Heights, who are to be "dealt with." Strange, I thought they were originally allowed to be there?
Israel claims rockets entered their country first, and the Palestinians claim that Israel went on a bombing run first, and yet again. So someone is lying.
Nothing really ever changes in Israel and the surrounding area.

Cool story. Want the violence to end? Send every home in the middle east a flat screen TV, a satellite TV subscription and wait a decade. Islam will become irrelevant faster than you can say I'd like a number 4 with grilled onions and a coke. Probably cheaper than diplomacy and military intervention.

The Palestinians would still be fighting for a place to put that TV.

Crass consumerism destroys culture. In a decade or two, the Palestinians won't have enough strong ethnic ties to fight the inevitable creation of the MEU.

Exactly. Funnel enough Money into surrounding areas to improve the standard of living enough to where the prospect of moving is far too enticing for Palestinians to resist. Israel will then be made to sign free trade agreements with the surrounding nations and the entire region is pacified under the iron law of buying stuff. Take that Bembridge scholars!

So Hamas likes taking BM-21 Grad missile trucks and just peppering indiscriminate areas of Israel. Whereas Israel uses actual technology and puts pretty decent direct strikes onto suspected or confirmed Hamas elements. And yet Israel is *****ed at?
Sure Israel is encroaching on Palestinian homes by bulldozing and forcefully evicting people to put up Israeli homes, but Hamas is doing a **** job of saying "no". I think it's funny that Israel is calling this operation pillar of cloud in reference to a manifestation of God in the Torah.

The question of whether Palestinians should saying taking any action aside, how should they go about saying "no"?

Get rid of the Jew lobby in D.C. and have Obama tell Israeli no more money until you stop bulldozing Palestinian homes.
If the Palestinians took up arms they would all be dead.

They don't have them now!! They have zero ties with any country in the Middle East beyond their struggle with Israel. Not a single nation has offered them land. No one wants them. They have always been the unwanted step child of the Middle East.

I think it would be easier to move to a neighboring islamic country then live in a semi war zone.

I meant it as a "Palestinian" group identity. As it stands, they would probably have an easier time assimilating with the surrounding Arab countries than they would: A) Fighting a lost cause against a superior nation B) Assimilating into said nation.

lol, they won't let them
The Middle East is not one big happy family of Arabs. Indeed, most Arab people don't recognize the term or at least are very meh about it. They view each other in terms of families and tribes. Most of the nations in the ME can be, and frequently are, divided in to various tribes and families. The only thing that even remotely links them all is Islam. And that has slowly been incorporated into the tribal structure, as is shown by the Wahhabi movement.

Yea that usually doesn't work out so well for Achmet in the end, as history has shown, despite what you hear on NPR.
These people aren't fighting over homes being bulldozed, they've been at war for 3,000 years, it's not going to stop for any reason until the other side is eliminated.

Sure they do. That's why they ship in Ethiopians and Somalis in to the Emirate States for lower class jobs

Yep. They're treated like **** and paid next to nothing. It's basically steel mill/coal mining from the 1870s - 1920s in the US.
