Finally found these. One user posted a pic with one of these on his geo, but he got the fitting from a coworker and didn't know where the coworker got it from. Alas, I've finally found it

http://www.ebay.com/itm/FIVE-Push-to...item2c697ee234

I also found a white one in google that was located at "the find .com" but couldn't find anything else on it. I saved the picture and uploaded it though:

And is this the right size? There's a bunch of different sizes, but was pretty sure it's 1/4 od and 3/8 npt. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So much composite material in the construction scares me a little. I'd trust my Glock to go to Hell and back, but would have to see those put through a torture test before risking putting it on any of my markers.

That price tag would hurt, but if I needed a 45 macro fitting, that'd probably be the one I went with.

Would be interesting to see what the pressure rating is for those black/blue ones.

140psi max pressure per the company that manufactures them. they DO NOT recommend using these for paintball. They are built specifically for industrial applications. They cannot make one rated for paintball since they use composite materials to make their current ones.

nice find though! Would be great if someone came out with a 45 degree fitting that anyone could use on any marker thats properly rated.

Ya, I just found that the white one is 140 psi, but what about the black one?

The black is made by mettle air
The white is made by smc manufacturing.

If I were to guess based on the shape and thickness alone, I would think they would also be rated in the neighborhood of 150psi or less. The way they hourglasses down to a thinner diameter at the bend may be the for using them for paintball. The material may be too thin, leading to a low psi rating and nixing them for use in paintball applications.

Well, just read the description of the black and blue fittings - they are also made of composite and nickle-plated brass. VERY likely that they have a very low psi rating.

EDIT: Found some specs on the black ones...kinda:

http://www.mettlertools.com/fittings.html

Although the 45-degree ones aren't specifically listed, the others are and that page does have a general construction schematic (that I'm sure the 45s are made in the same way). Pressure rating of 0 to 150psi.

mettleair is who I called. No, they do not make a fitting rated for paintball.

EDIT - I have a feeling that any fitting that contains plastic or composite materials like plastic are most likely rated for industrial applications only, which would be sub 200psi. In order to make a fitting rated at least at 1000psi would most likely need to be constructed out of some type of metal only, just like straight and 90 degree fittings.

DOUBLE EDIT - Just confirmed with SMC that they do not make any fittings properly rated for paintball.

Any kind of plastic/composite fitting is not rated for paintball use. They're industrial only in my experience. I handled these fittings for six years doing machine repairs and the lock collars wear out over time and from the coolant mist in the air, the plastic just gets brittle.
The shop I work at only has an output from the compressor of about 150-180 psi. I wouldn't be surprised to see an instant failure with these fittings if you were to use them on a setup. Even with metal ones you have to make sure they're rated properly. If the collar doesn't fail, which I would see as failure point number one, then I would expect either the threads to give out and the whole fitting come flying off or to have the whole unit crack/break.

AGAIN - you should not use these for paintball as they are NOT rated properly.
