Who does it? Ive looked into kohns and lasermygun.

Kohns wasn't taking custom work when I talked.

LMG wanted to know what I was I doing before they quoted me. Which understandable but I'm not exactly set on a design yet. I'm trying to figure out how much money need to save before I get it done.

Also if y'all know any place that will do a anno and laser job as a package deal that would be awesome

PBN AutoTrader does custom anno and lasering, but their thread for it isn't up right now, its usually in the BNIB section of the bst

Laser work depends on size and detail of what is being done. It will range anywhere from $25 for a small logo (maybe a 2X3 inch area) all the way up to a couple hundred dollars for a full gun lasering. ($400 or more depending on detail)
A stock graphic will cost less because it is already optimized for lasering onto your marker. A custom graphic will cost a lot more because you are paying for the graphic artist to create the graphics for you. If you take a picture you found on the internet, you will still have a high price because a graphic artist will need to clean the image up and optimize it for lasering onto your marker. The cheapest way would be to do all the graphic work yourself and then just take your marker to any laser engraving shop to have it applied.

Thanks for the info guys. Kookie so any local laser engraving place should be able to do it? Would there be anything special I need to tell them about the marker before they start engraving on it?

If a local place isn't familiar with doing paintball guns or parts that aren't flat I would avoid them. 99% of laser engravers stick to flat parts and surfaces because it takes far less time and there is less risk of screw ups.

If you can do the artwork yourself in vector format, you can get a full gun done for around 200, that doesnt include rotating the barrel.

If you want something unique that you designed yourself here is what you can do. Take pictures of your gun left and right making sure it is level with the screen. Upload pictures on your puter (I used simple paint program to do mine) outline your gun in paint program and erase everything but the outline. Figure out what pictures you want on the gun, convert all pics to black and white, copy and paste all of your pics on a new paint file and arange them how you want on the gun. You can copy the shape of the gun and paste it over the pictures to see how you need to arange things. Once you get it all how you like it erase everything outside the shape of the gun and convert it to vector format, you can do this for free at (www.vectormagic.com). You can now use this vector fomated file as the design for your gun. This is how I did the ED Mag and lasermygun.com did the work...good luck

Also remember that the laser will engrave the black areas on the design making them white on the gun...so if you want the end product to look just like your design then invert the colors before you submit it.
