I have seen a couple guns I have thought I would try to save up some and get (G6R, Dragon, Alien) but to tell the truth, it has been based on the fact that I like how they look and I do notice trends on how many are sold and such. Don't see a lot of Aliens being sold. Do see alot of Bob Longs being sold but I don't think I have ever seen a bad word about them on any forum. That would lead me to believe they might be worth the extra because they are solid markers.

But prolly alot of personal preference too. I do not play competitively and do not know how the other markers feel in hand but, seriously like my G3s and even the F8 I have. The Proton is also solid for me. Then again, I have not held an expensive marker and even usually only buy the Infinity paint.

there are only 2 reasons that i own a G6R:
1: it's ****ing efficient, it's great for those really long woodsball games where i have to be supporting fire.
2: it's ****ing effecient, i'm a back/cleanup player when i play speedball.

I do love to play, but also feel that cost is very prohibitive to newcomers. It was nice to see the splatmasters if for nothing else, it's an entry level for small kids to get in and work their way to the big guns. If fields would make room for people to play using those, I think the sport will grow. Getting hit with an electro marker with ramping when you have a rental can prolly suck for someone that has never played before. It's the reason I use semi on the field here. Prolly defeats the purpose of having an electro but I love my DPs

I do like the amount of features on the Proton, considering it's an entry level marker. You get a gun that looks kinda like the bog boys (no macroline) for a third of the price. I know there are others (Mini) but the more options, the better. Not everyone knows about PBNation. I do try to spread the work to people I talk to though I actually tell the people here to buy paint at the field when I hear them talking about buying it from Wal Mart. Although that Black Friday deal is tempting just for some playing around with Not on the field type stuff

Some fields have that.
It's up to the fields to enforce semi-only or split up new players from others.

I tried Wal Mart paint once and will not use on a field again...the JT stuff anyway. It was old, bounced more than broke, and never flew straight (it had flat sides even after sitting out for a bit).

Alien isn't as well known which is why you don't see many of them. As for price difference there is a noticable difference in build quality.

How about 12 dollar a case paint a field sells for 60$ and its Fpo only! They have lost so much business. The paint is terrible too.

Lyfe Sports uses their machines to turn out Melon Blast. That paint is so god damn good. brittle and round, no stain and smells / tastes like watermelon.
They happen to be our new paint sponsor for 2013.
