I can say for certain that if you have a working cocker that shoots just fine you are one of the three, or all of the above. 1- you are not an idiot. 2- you know someone who is not an idiot. 3- you have enough money to pay someone who is not an idiot. - jonotwist

The ANS with QEVs will be the fastest due to ram ID. Besales/Eclipse is probably the smoothest, at least it's felt that way to me, but ANS will cycle faster.

Do qevs brands make a difference or are all qevs the same?

They're all basically the same, just some have different threads.
An example is the WGP TRV's meant for an STO ram. Most all autococker rams use like threaded nipples on the front and back of the ram, where the STO ram has one big and one small so the TRV's have one with bigger threads, and one with smaller ones.
However, Eclipse, ANS, Belsales, Palmer, Freeflow, etc... All use like threads. Basically just avoid WGP TRVs if you don't have an STO ram to put them on.

Is this the ANS ram you all are referring to? I bought this one last year but it has J&J stamped into the side (exactly where it says ANS in the pic). I'm assuming they are the same since the ram looks identical in every aspect. It says a potential 30 cycles/sec (hertz? lol) but I assume it can go faster with QEVS and without having the hammer spring to act against.

yes thats an ans ram.
really youll need qev's anyway to get to 30, the eclipse/belsales will do 30 with qev's too. basically the ans ram is smaller on the inside, so it fills with air faster, thus making it slightly faster than others. its a bit of a moot point imo since other things will slow the gun down before the ram does. so go with which one you like better, belsales looks nicer most people will say, but the ans is like half the price.

That's the ANS mini ram. It's what we were talking about. It's as fast as it gets once you toss the QEVs on it.
