First electronic marker

What was the first electronic marker with a trigger that can be walked? (Is that an e trigger?)

Probably the Angel. But there were a few others that came out around the same time. The funny thing was, the fastest loader at that time was the VL Revolution, which definitely could not feed as fast as the Angel could fire. Chop Suey!

It wasn't until the Halo loader that electros started to dominate.

The PVI Shocker (pre-Smart Parts) was out before the Angel, but the trigger switch on those wasn't particularly walkable. Of course you're right, chop suey with out a force feed hopper so it was a moot point. The Angels could shoot faster out of the box than the old Shockers if you cranked the ROF trim pot up (no dip switches or fancy programming back then).

I'm not sure but I think the Rainmaker was the first but Smart Parts and Angel were all right there at the same time to make the big change in the sport...

Nope, Shocker Turbo (that's the old shoebox style shocker) had the first, though they did it a little different than today. After reaching the activating rate of fire (which I think was around 5 bps, please someone correct me if I'm wrong) the board automatically dropped the trigger debounce setting down to zero. Multiple signals were received with each trigger pull and the gun would hum along at it's maximum set rate of fire, which was 12-13 bps or so.

Interestingly enough the second stock gun board that had a ramping mode (plenty of aftermarket ones, but this is right out of the box) was a Tippmann gun. The A5 egrip had their own "turbo" mode. After a set number of pulls at a certain rate of fire (the third pull I believe) the gun started firing on the pull and release of the trigger.

Wouldn't the early Matrices be near that time period?

Shocker, Angel, early Matrix would be my guesses.

The early Matrix (Diablo Matrix being the earliest I believe) didn't come out until late 2000.

The PVI Shocker was first, 96 or 97.

Angel and Rainmaker came out in 98.

ICD had the Bushmaster 2000 (B2K) in, you guessed it, 2000. Though they were showing it off in 99. There was also the early Bob Long Defiant, though that was just a cocker threaded re-badged B2K with different milling.

I think some people (I hope) are getting the question confused. He's asking what was the first gun that came with a walkable trigger, not what your first walkable gun was.

I had a Rainmaker, haha. There were aftermarket triggers and boards made by a small rainmaker community.

I'd have to guess the first electronic trigger you could walk would be the angel. Not entirely sure what these guys are going on about with the with the PVi shocker.

Duh, the question was answered correctly on the very first reply. No opinions, no guesses, just the fact. I clarified the question of what came out at the same time or before (PVI was first electro, but unfortunately not quite walkable, but the lack of of forcefed hopper meant nobody cared at the time).

Though to make things even more interesting, for the first couple years the stock out of the box Angel was NOT walkable at all... due to the fact that it came with a single trigger. Of course it was almost a given that a new owner would almost immediately hacksaw off that trigger guard and add a double trigger.

On the other hand the PVI shocker DID come right from the factory with a double trigger, but my experience with them (a local player owned one back when I first started) was the stock trigger switch wasn't particularly walkable.

If you had extremely small fingers, you could walk a single trigger

I can't remember if I had a Centerflag hyperframed cocker, or a Bushmaster 2000 first.
