I have a stock Angel A1 Fly. However about a month ago there was a air bleed that could be heard above the front grip.

Kept playing with it as it had no effect. Last week during a point the gun started half cycling while keeping up a steady stream.

Took the gun completely apart but cant find the issue directly.

I was hoping someone on nation could help me with the issue.

I'm his teammate, so I'm chiming in to help in the diagnosis.


It will not shoot at all without half cycling. Tomorrow we are going to lube the ram and Lpr, as well as the noid piston. We do not have gauges unfortunately so we are not quite sure what the Lpr is at.

You might want to check for bolt stick - check detents and breech seal. Past that, knowing your LPR pressure would be a big help.

Bolt stick is basically non-existent. Breech seal and detents are fine. I believe the cup seal is the problem though. There should NOT be a space between the delrin and the larger part of the valve correct? I can/will post a picture tomorrow when I can look at it again to make sure I'm correct on this.

If you're using the D-Lite stem, it should be a seamless single piece. If you're using the standard Magno valve, the white seal should not be separated from the metal shaft.

It's standard Magno Valve. That's what I was thinking/realized while walking back to my apartment. Guess he needs a new valve then. I'm assuming this is why the D-Lite stem is just one piece, to stop this from happening.

Indeed, the later runs of standard Magno valve stems were known to suffer from seal separation. You can reglue them as a temporary fix. When the seal separates, low velocity/incomplete shots regardless of pressure is the most common symptom.
