Ion Air Leaking
So, sometimes my Ion decides to be a troll and leak. Sometimes it does not. Now, when it does leak.. I use a 3000 68PSI airtank. I go into a match, and shoot about 1000PSI. And walk off the field with 1000PSI left in my tank. The time on the field, and off the field.. My gun is leaking air. I am not sure where, or how. Someone told me the Orings.. Someone told me some tape.. Or something. I don't know where the O-Rings are.. Or What tape they are talking about? I don't think it's the ASA or the Macro Line though. And I live a good 30 minutes away from my Pro-Shop. Please help? If not- It's fine. The Pro-shop is close enough and I can go there if I cannot find my answer!

There are multiple o-rings in the marker but if you do not know where they are, then I am assuming you dont know how to break the marker down and put it back together. If so, do not attempt this and either have a friend who knows do it or take it to the pro-shop. The tape they are talking about is teflon tape that goes on the threads of your macroline and fittings like that. Think of it as lock-tight for the threads.

You might try asking on the Ion-specific subforum here on PBNation: http://www.pbnation.com/forumdisplay.php?f=336
However, before anyone there can help you you're going to have to identify where that leak is coming from.
Try unbolting the grip frame and carefully airing up the gun with no paint. The Ion is a little unusual in that the gun will work safely with the grip frame disconnected, and this should allow you better access to see whether the leak is coming from either of the banjo fittings, the solenoid itself, or elsewhere.
Good luck!

Check the inner tubes of the ion, and make sure they are not loose/old. Seen that happen with a couple of ions at my local field before.

If yo want to find where the leak is you can try taking off the grips of the gun and see if that helps... you could also try taking the frame screws off but make sure all the internal tubing is in good condition and well in the banjo..(The banjo being what the tubing connects to. Example is the macro line it goes into a banjo.
I would also pressure it up slowly just in case something decides to detach.
It could be the reg in the grip also.
My Ion also leaks slowly. Like 1k psi in about 8 hours. As it is my back up gun I never really cared too much about it.
Lastly you could try the asa.. Where the tank screws into the gun. If it leaks from their it could be the o-ring on your tank.
This being said if you do this work yourself be very careful. Pressurizing a gun that is disassembled can be very dangerous. If you have never done work on a paintball gun before do not pressurize the gun while it is apart. If this is the case seek out a pro shop for your safety.
If you need any other help or suggestions send me a pm and or post on here.
