New G6R user chrono and stuck paint

Hey guys,
I'm a new user and am trying to learn my way around my Timmy. Anyway, took it to the field last Sunday and took me a while to get it setup. First of all, when I shot over the chronograph my shots were around 220fps and below. As I adjusted the regulator they went below 200fps. I did notice that once I undid the regulator screw a good way out, the gun didn't get any air at all. Then when I tightened it back in, I heard the air make a seal sound like when you turn the ASA on. Long story short, I was told to adjust the LPR and that seemed to bring me up to 275-285fps. The next problem I had was on the field

Apparently the paint I was using getting stuck in the barrel and I had like 4-5balls come out after taking my barrel off trying to get them out. Any ideas? It was field paint that was orange/yellow with Maddogz written over it. All seems to be fine now, but the gun was making a putting noise again and I had to re-tighten the screw on the back of the gun since it came loose while in play.

You past your regs sweetspot that's why when upping the hpr it lower the FPS.

Check your pressure, then set them to what is on the QC card if you haven't already. Or sweetspot your regs.

Do as gamer said. That will fix all of your problems. Make sure that ram cap screw is tight, if needed put Teflon tape on it.

I'm not sure if you realized this but unlike most other regs, un screwing it will decrease the pressure in the reg. that's why you experienced the velocity dropping if you we're unscrewing it. Otherwise you went past the sweet spot like the other posts suggest. Just get your hands on a pressure tester to make sure nothing is dramatically wrong like an lpr reading of 100, then use one of sweet spotting methods in the forums

Thanks all of you guys! I've been shooting Spyders for soooo long that I'm used to unscrewing to give you faster velocity or maybe the Spyders are twist in, don't remember. Anyway, I'm trying to get my hands on a pressure tester for Christmas.

WRONG!!!

A pressure tester won't help if you don't know which way to turn your HPR/LPR! For the sake of your poor G6r, please follow both of these links.

Then, please, pm tim2thousand4 and order a pressure tester or your g6r wont be around too much longer.
