it's basically a body kit, it only makes your marker look different.

DON'T DO IT DON'T DO IT.
Please, use the ion for what it is, don't put a dime into it. Make sure you like paintball, use the ion for what it is, a great beginners gun, that's all. When you are ready to upgrade it, sell if for the 75 dollars and get the marker you want. (or continue to use the ion for years).

So upgrading an ion is'nt worth it at all. Its a shame, i really like these guns but i guess fully pimped out they are still way way behind as im told..

A fully pimped out ion is actually a really good marker.
Would i ever personally pay money to upgrade one? No.
I have bought a fully upped one for dirt cheap and i feel it was totally worth the 100$ i paid.
Buying an aftermarket body for an ion is the biggest waste of money ever though.
If you absolutely must buy something for you gun, it should be from the BST here and should be an on/off asa/ bolt/ or board. If youre spending more than 25$ for any of it, its not worth it.
But again, i'd sell the one you have and find a modded one for dirt cheap before i'd pay a dime in upgrading a stock ion.
Furthermore, IF ITS NOT AN XE, SKIP!

Just use the gun till it dies or just buy a better gun and keep it as a backup. You wont get anything for it anyway (anything under 70 you might as well just keep the gun)

Then i'd suggest taking it apart, and then sandblasting the body or at least strip wte paint is on there and then give it a new paintjob or leave it naked. All in all it'd take you a couple hours, cost you nothing, and will look a hell of a lot better than it did before.
