Who's happy with their GOG Extcy?
Hey guys, my friends and I use to play paintball about 3-4 years ago and got out of it till now...we are all getting back into it and I want to start new with a great gun. Im choosing between a couple of guns and just want your opinion on the GOG Extcy.
I have never heard of this marker before but they look like the Smart Parts Ion.
Also feel free to post pictures and description on what equipment you use or modifications that have been done to it.

I love mine. You won't be disappointed.
Get the qev and firebolt if you really want to trick it out and make it shoot the best.

That's all it is basically, an Ion XE in a new body. If your on a budget, go ahead and get it, but if you can afford something else I would go that route personally. But that's just my opinion.

Im not really liking mine, ive had to send it in twice to get fixed due to a breach machining issue the first time and my solenoid cap cracked the second (even though ive never adjusted the reg myself) Im getting an etek 4 when my team does a mass gun order.

This is gonna sound crazy, but other than the weight and speed, it shoots just as smooth as my Geo. I have the Firebolt, QEV, and Violent trigger and it shoots butter now that it's broken in. Too bad I have to sell it to pay for the Geo...

Doesn't sound crazy at all. I've shot several high-end spools and found I was still perfectly content with the way my GOG/SP stuff shoots. The ergo factor might not be as good as some of the high ends but it's not so much worse that it makes the high end worth another $800-1000, IMO...

I just purchased one online waiting for it to ship out to me, very excited to get back into paintball as it has been almost 7 years since I used to play.

I guess I can say that the added weight also helps reduce recoil? I don't know, but I'm very glad I bought the eXTCy over other similarly priced markers.

I got mine a month ago and I have to tell you its so worth the money.. I ordered mine from GOG with the Firebolt and QEV installed then added a Violent trigger and a GOG Locking feedneck before I even fired it. Out of the box all I did was set the Dwell and fire mode..
First day on the field I put almost a case through it and maybe two balls broke the whole day. My current setup fires as fast as most high end guns I have seen without an issue, but don't know how it would have fired without the QEV and Firebolt upgraded.
if your looking to buy the eXTCy then the first thing I would tell you to do is get the QEV. From all the research here it makes a world of difference.
my only gripe is the knob on the ASA, it works and all but I just don't like the feel of it when trying to turn it off.
Good luck

I love using my eXTCY. These guns should put the more expensive gun manufactures out of business. I have played with the gambit of high end markers, and these guns perform just as well and just as reliable. I have to flip a coin to decide if I am going to use this gun or my dm.
