Question Need some BL Victory maintenance advice

Couldn't find a BL Victory forum so thought I'd post here.

I have a BL Victory v1 with supercharged engine. When I set the pressures with the pressure tester at the recommended settings (210'ish and 75-85) I'm lucky to get around 180 FPS. After gently adjusting HPR and LPR I was able to shoot at around 280. However, when I then checked my pressures with the pressure tester the LPR pressure was right around 100 and the HPR pressure around 250. Does that seem right to you or is there something else going on?

Tonight I took the marker completely apart and cleaned and lubed LPR, HPR and engine. Unfortunately, I'm out of air so haven't been able to check whether or not this fixes anything.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Koop

Set your board settings to factory and make sure to read the manual.

Have read the manual front to back. Thanks, though.

Ask in the BL section for best results.

You sure the gauges on your tester are good? Do you have a second tester you can verify your readings with? Some of those mini gauges just suck and don't read right. 100 PSI should be blowing the hose from the LPR to the noid off so my guess is you're not actually at 100 psi. Follow the guide in the manual to set the pressures without a tester and then plug your tester back in and see if it still reads the same.

Also make sure you haven't accidentally set your dwell too low or something like that.

Thanks. What's a good default dwell setting to start with?

Default dwell is default dwell..

There is not 2 different defaults to start with. Read the board manual.

I think Victories it's either 6 or 8 (8 might be what gen 1 Marqs ran at, I'm getting confused between my Gen 3 timmy, gen 1 Marqs, G6Rs, and Victories lol) but I don't know off the top of my head, read the manual. I know it's not any lower than 6 for sure.

I have the Yakuza OLED board and the manual says the default is 6. I'm going to wait for my Ashcroft gauges to arrive and then retest everything over a chrono. What I did informally last weekend was pretty much what the manual says to do when you don't have the pressure tester. Love the BL Victory, but kind of sad they sell it with a tester known to have crappy gauges. I expected more from BL; everything else they do seems to be good, so why not also the pressure tester? If nothing else, I now have a fully cleaned and lubed LPR, HPR and Engine

Thanks, everybody, for all the help.

Thanks. So far I've had pretty good luck with the standard .692 barrel that came with the Vic. Am acquiring a carbon barrel with smaller bore options so will give that a shot soon.

sounds like the gauges are off.

Reset board to default (check manual on how to)
sweet spot regs and then put the pressure tester in
new battery
