beginning the 2k5 process with my GZ
OK everyone.
Recently I got back into the game, and I'm starting a project I've always wanted to finish.
2k5'ing my GZ.
So, right now I've got an alias frame and lpr block on their way, and I'm looking to finish up my parts list. Problem is, I've been out so long I have no idea who makes the best parts anymore. Furthermore I'm hearing about the 4c eye system, and wondering if my GZ is compatible. I know there's a guide on this, but most of the links are dead. Currently I have these parts
GZ body & ram sleeve
Feed neck
ST bolt
Unknown aftermarket trigger fit to a 2k2 frame
Alias frame
Alias lpr block
Older volly
So if you could, please help me finish the parts list.

4c will not work with your project, the volly is not needed as well with the alias front block. other wise get a hp reg and a asa and as long as you have the noid and board you're good.

I don't have the board currently, or solenoid.
I know critical has noids for 80 bucks. But, other than frenzy does anyone still make alias style boards(that aren't $180)?
And I don't have a ram btw, I need an alias ram though, right?
Edit:
I do have a ram(whoops). It's the original along with an adjustable ram cap.

7th element i believe makes a board and has 4c eyes for the gen3. don't quote me on that. otherwise you can track down a infamous tadao board used

They make laser eyes, not boards. You can look on the intimidator owners group to try and find a board for your 2k5 project, or shell out the 180 for a new YAK board.

OK so,
I think I'm just getting a yakuza board. But I was asking about the 4c eyes because I wasn't sure if they'd fit the gz body. Correct?

Kila 4c needed the body to be milled a little and it was designed for there boards. Not sure if there is even 4c feature added into the yakuza for gen 3-4 boards.
Gen 5/6 4c won't work with out milling and a custom eye harness, and a board that supports it.

Don't forget about other electronics as well. Eye harness (if you don't tackle the 4c project - which imo isn't worth it) and batt harness... You'll also need a total of 6 barbs if the noid you get does not include any, and of course hose as well. When I pieced mine together the process was made easier with an oring kit...
Last thing, I didn't see if you said you had the poppit/cupseal included with your ram sleeve. Let's see some pics!

Well I have the 2k2 poppet (pics in links)

And I have the barbs for the body. But, while breaking the gun down I stumbled onto something potentially very bad. When I was taking the grip frame off, the front set screw was ****in torqued. It took a bit to get it out, and when I took the front block and poppet out I discovered the body had dimpled(not punctured) and the ram sleeve was a bit warped from the aftermath of the previous owner, and their gorilla strength.

You can kinda see it. So, any advice?
Also, I have no eyes but the frame has a WAS board in it I forgot about.

So, alias eyes right?

Ram sleeve and body should be fine, doesn't appear enough damage is done to cause a leak.
Yes you need gen2-3 eye's.

That's reassuring.
I decided against the alias lpr block, and I've got some dualies on the way.

Yea I love pbk. I always used them too. And I got the alias eyes as well.
Update:
Got my frame today, along with a quote for my ano. Also, I spoke to Zach at BLAST for his opinion on my GZ's condition. He said to get it fixed, or buy a new body. So hopefully Monday I'll get a call back and place the order.
Also, who's done business with lurker pb? I placed an order on Wednesday and I still haven't gotten any confirmation whatsoever from them.

Lurker's kinda backlogged right now I think. The new Shocker bolt released and we're all waiting those to ship and he's also running around helping with relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Sandy on the east coast.
Lurker's always been good to me in the past. he can't really afford to screw up lol, he's a mod here. Anyone can find him.

Update!
About a day after I posted, asking about lurker I got an email explaining my order didn't get confirmation because the mini bolt I ordered was on back order. And a couple days later I got my eigenram and lurker bolt
http://imgur.com/bR3KY.jpg
And then I got some other stuff
http://imgur.com/z9OqD.jpg
Here's a basic mock up of what my GZ will look like
http://imgur.com/8afeP.jpg
Thing that kills me is not using that body though. What made it really special(to me at least) was the way it was broken in. All the wear & tear is aesthetically pleasing, kind of like how the first run of dynasty shockers had a ****ty ano, and after a while it faded on the high points of the milling. Oh well, maybe I'll send it to get fixed someday.
Anyway, I was unaware that dualies and alias frames did not mix. When I mocked up everything at first, the barb wouldn't fit inside the frame. So after looking it up with no results I did some custom work.

Weird, because I'm almost positive I've seen 2k5'd timmies with alias frames and dualies .
Next update when I get my last packages in.

The alias frame is thinner which is why the dual regs wont fit.
IMHO duals are not needed. Regulators have become very consistant since the need to fine tune the PSI so they dont serve much function any more.
