new to geo
Just picked up a Geo in a trade. This will my first geo, I read thru the most of the stickys. I do have a couple of questions. The marker does have the gr2 upgrade in it. My question is this, Do the geo2 or geo3 internals fit the geo? If yes, Do I find a set of geo2/3 internals to put in or try to find a gst kit ? Am I better off leaving the internals alone and using as is? Which is my best course of action to get the best shooting marker?
On another note What is a good input psi for the geo? This will be my backup marker, My main marker is a G6r 12. Which uses slp input. Can I run the geo on slp or do I need higher input pressure?

Geo
Welcome,
With the slp reg on your bottle your either going to need to go with the low pres. spring in the reg or get an sl3 reg for the geo. the sl3 will self adjust to input pres and is the same reg system on the 2 and 2.1 it is the best bet and works great but also more expensive than just changing the spring. Geo 2 engines are available for purchase but expensive st kits kits come up on ebay from time to time and run about $ 100 -125 ish I never used the original bolt on my old geo so i couldn't tell you the diference between the two.

1.Yes the internals are cross compatible, NO they are not easy to find. The GST kit is "Soft touch" And makes the gun not only softer on paint, but also smoother as well.
Input needs to be mid-high pressure, Geo1's HATE low pressure, even though you can throw a Low pressure kit into them, you're better off just running with HP.

Ok Thanks for the info. I do have a Spare tank with a ninja reg with all the shims pull out(bout 550 output).
I will keep my eye out for either a geo 2 internals or gst kit which ever i find first

550 is the best tank pressure for a geo.

Question, would the bolt engine in the Geo 3 work in the geo1?
I just picked up a Geo1 myself and I was just curious.
thanks.

The bolt engine of the Geo 2 and Geo 3 are virtually identical. I think the only difference in the bolt engines are tighter tolerances and slightly different diameters to make for better efficiency. It should fit into the Geo 1. Problem is itys currently not available for sale

I have a geo 1 and the geo 2 internals do fit inside the geo 1. The geo 1 bolt kit with the gr2 kit is fine, just leave it. but if you wanna shoot reballs, pick up the spacer. and a good tank pressure should be mid to high. unless you have the sl3 reg on it
