What are some good upgrades for a WGP outkast pump?

A picture of what you already have would help give us a baseline from which to suggest upgrades.

Because it is a sniper there are about a billion different options out there to meet your preferences.

Many people will tell you to upgrade with CCM or CP or whatever else is out there but as long as you have a nice barrel, a decent pump kit and a consistent reg the rest is just comfort, looks and candy.

OK from what I can see you have a nice pump kit on there as well as a nice frame.

I would try to find a cheap reg and maybe some kind of ON/OFF ASA. But I wouldn't go much further than that. Save your pennies and eventually upgrade to a new gun if you want to continue playing pump.

That looks like an SM-1 barrel? Any idea what the bore is? If it is working with the paint at your field then I wouldn't worry. But getting a nice barrel is an upgrade that can be moved to your other/next gun too.

So, in order of importance I would rank your possible upgrades as

Barrel
Reg
ASA (only if you want to)

Other than that I think your set up is pretty good to go.

If you wanted an on/off bottomline ASA, most universal fill adapters would be able to lock into the bottomline cage that's already on there.

regulator, barrel, on/off asa, spring loaded detents are really nice (check-it products) and an autocoker derlin bolt. most have an aluminum bolt, wich really sucks if you get dirt into the breach, it will scratch it like crazy. oh and the most important thing in pump is a barrel kit or sizers to not only prevent roll out but consitancy and air efficancy, consistancy makes any marker more accurate in terms of "ball on ball" shooting... and remeber, custom producats FTW

Yea its an SM 1. No idea what bore but i have rollouts with cheap HSP Paint. Thanks. WHat are some good regs that would fit ?

What are you looking for in your gun?


Softness of shot?

Lower tube parts. Mainly the springs and valve.


Smoothness and ease of pump action?

Springs in the Lower tube and Springs in the pump kit (if any).


Want something more consistent?

Lower tube, regulator and barrel.


Want something that will give you straighter shots?

Barrel and paint


Want something that will all around redefine the whole gun for under $100-$110?

Buy a maddmann spring kit and rocket valve. Then buy a .678 Lurker Eigenbarrel. Then buy a Bob Long 360 Regulator on here.

That should run you $25-35 for the valve and springs. $30-40 for the barrel, and $45-55 for the regulator.

Get yourself a decent clamping feedneck, my good man. Cocker threads. Function and Hybrid are inexpensive and extremely good. You can always go the Ego neck mod route as well...
