Visiting in December. Looking for fields to play at.
I will be flying to the big island and visiting family from the 6th-23rd. I want to try to play at least 2 of the 3 weekends I will be there.
I play everything from scenario to airball and pump so if there is a field nearby, I will try to play there. It looks like the majority of fields & stores are on Oahu. What is the best website for booking flights between islands? I will probably try to make it on the weekend of the 8th/9th or 15th/16th. Also if there are any cheap hostels nearby, i'll probably be having to stay 1 or 2 nights.
Are there any good places to play on the big island? I've found the websites
for Run-A-Muck but couldn't find any photos.
Hawaii Extreme Paintball looks amazing and I am probably going to try to go there one of the days. I couldn't really find any current photos of the Wheeler & Kapolei fields.
Any links or advice would be much appreciated. Mahalo

Hawaii Extreme Paintball is the best place to play on Oahu, hands down. They have killer scenario fields, and the nicest turf field I have ever seen.

I will probably be staying with family on their farm in waimea. A bunch of us are flying in to attend my cousin's wedding. It may be crowded though so i may crash on a couch in one of the hotel rooms/condos that some of the relatives are renting.
Where do most of the people play speedball? Extreme or Westside? Are there any events/scenarios scheduled for december?
Does the paintball hawaii westside field have 2 fields or are the grassy photos on their page from the wheeler field?

Extreme has speedball AND sweet scenario fields. I believe that the Wheeler field closed down. Westside is ok, but they only have one field so it can take a pretty long time just to get a few games in.

Rotations can take just as long if not longer at the other fields too. Not just at WestSide. You can have 100 fields to play on, if only one field was in use then the wait would be still be the same. Just depends on who's running the rotations and if they really know what he or she is doing.

I am a ref at an airball field here so I know how rotations can vary. I usually have a pump set-up and a semi so I can play in both novice & advanced games. It's people sitting around talking when they could be playing that annoys me like no other.
What is street ball? Is it school yard picked team tournament or just glorified rec play? Does the $25/35 cover both days or is it a daily charge?
I was hoping to play at both Westside and Hawaii Extreme but depending on how the streetball is I may just play westside.

What is the best airlines/travel site to use to fly to oahu from kona? does the kalaeloa airport get many flights or would I have to fly into honolulu international and cab it to the field?

Dang, yeah I kind of figure that. So, I found a few flights from kona to honolulu for pretty cheap but am having trouble in finding motels/hotels that aren't $300 & up.
I found a few hostels near downtown but couldn't find any closer to the field. Are there any cheap places closer to the field than Waikiki?

I found a couple of cheap hostels that I will probably stay at for thursday, friday, & sunday nights. However, I would like to try to stay somewhat closer to the field saturday night if possible.
Would anyone be willing to:
-give me a ride from wakiki to kapolei on saturday morning?
-let me crash on their couch saturday?
and/or
-give me a ride back to wakiki on sunday?
Every taxi/shuttle service I could find was wanting $50 & up for a one-way ride from waikiki to kapolei. I'd rather give some cash to a baller for helpin me out though. I'd be more than happy to pay for entry/paint/beer/etc to reimburse someone for their time/gas.
Thanks.

I was planning on just getting a room in a hostel for thursday, friday, & sunday nights. I am looking a different hostels right now but haven't booked one yet.
The Plumeria is closest to the field, airport, and paintball hawaii store but they want me to book a room for a week minimum. The other ones are closer to the beach & probably a bit more of a hassle to bum a ride from.

Dang, thanks anyway kanny. I may have to just cancel goin to oahu if i cant find a ride/place. $450 in cabs, flights, & rooms are too much for a weekend.
