Yeah solo is the way to go in the beginning til you find a team

When my son went off to college I had to start going Solo all my friends either dont play or are not athletic. You actually meet people on the field & you can give advice to the new guns since ive been playing over 10 years. My Goal is just to play so just get out & do it. Its mostly Rec Ball but i always manage to jump on & get a few speedball games when a team is down a man.

I play solo 2 weekends a month. I get out there and say stuff like "Hey, what's going on?" and "say, that was a good shot, try it again."

I usually end up at lunch or beers afterwards with people from all over the US. I now have friends i can play with while i am on the road.

I did mention i travel away from home 2 weeks at a time?

I go to a field just outside Austin there are about 10-15 of us regulars and most of the people that work there are my friends so i play solo
