I'd put the 1 loss SEC team in the title game regardless. The only team I'd put ahead of them is K State, and even that's questionable.

...even if it ends up being Alabama, who has clearly demonstrated that they're not as good as we all thought they were (especially against the spread offense)? If Oregon wins out, I'd pick them to beat Bama now.

.

I really don't want them to go a lose it for the SEC, I rather leave the excuse no one made or because we beat each other up

Maybe this only encourages bama to play harder and motivates them to destroy every one in their path?

Yeah, even if it's 'Bama. I think their offense would name the score against Oregon, and their defense would stop the rushing attack and do enough against Oregon's short passing game to win. Against ND, I think they would just slowly plow down the field and have our defense exhausted by the fourth quarter.

And as far as who is most deserving, a one loss SEC team should always get the benefit of the doubt when in an argument against undefeated teams from weaker conferences. At the beginning of the season I would have said that our schedule gives us an even footing with SEC teams when looking at who is most deserving, but Michigan and MSU aren't nearly as good as we thought and other than that our only two good wins are Stanford and OU.

Oregon's only good win so far is USC, and they gave up 50 points in that game. They can potentially add 2 more in Stanford and Oregon State, but Oregon State isn't as good as we thought either.

Compare that to an SEC champion where either Alabama or UGA will have a victory over one or the other, plus the SEC regular season schedule, which is much more difficult than anything that ND or Oregon will have to do this year.

If Alabama couldn't stop A&M, they probably won't stop Oregon either.

A&M has a HUGE advantage that Oregon does not: A&M had played LSU and Florida beforehand this season, they had been in the trenches fighting and have learned how to play for four quarters with teams that line up and punch you in the face. They were fully prepared for what Alabama would be bringing.

Oregon? They haven't played, and the only time they will have a chance to play a team as physical as an Alabama, LSU, or Florida is in a BCS game. The SEC has proven they can more than well handle Oregon's speed, Oregon however has not shown they are able to prepare for the SEC's physicality.

I will say this, while I'd still favor Alabama over Oregon if they played, Oregon would have a great chance of winning. It'd be a 55/45 type of odds imo.

Does Georgia get embarrassed in the SEC championship again? I mean is there anyone outside that state that thinks the dawgs deserve number 5? Weakest schedule in the sec.

They cover B12 games on FOX. Hence, their viewership is going to be mostly B12 fans. Listening to them blow smoke up Geno's and Klein's ***** all halftime show isn't what I call enjoyable.

They would hold them under 30. And they would score a lot more on Oregon than they did on A&M too.

Won another ST:S:NCAA bet today. I feel more confident this one might EVENTUALLY pay up.

Jarvis Jones is arguably the 2nd best player in the SEC and is considered the 2nd best defensive player in the country behind Te'o. Murray is arguably the 2nd best QB in the SEC. Gurley is an absolute freak for a freshman. Don't see why we don't deserve #5 after beating the then #2 team in the country.

No, we don't get embarrassed with the badly exposed Alabama defense we have upon us. I'll be more afraid of LSU if Auburn somehow beats Alabama.
