Hurricanes SL74 drop off
Alright guys, I just picked up this Hurricanes SL74 from BST, and it came in yesterday and I had no time to test it out. The problem I am having is when ramp 12.5 kicks in, it starts to have major drop off, where the paint won't make it past 35 feet, I tried adjusting the LPR and HPR, but nothing. Then I tried the dwell and that seemed to make it worse, but I did not get to mess with it too much since I was at practice. Any ideas on where to start the adjustments?
Thanks in advance!

Dwell at 12.5-13 Ms, lpr at no more than 2 turns in. I'd start flush and work it in till you lost consistency, then back out 1/2 turn. Hpr up to chrono speed.
If that doesnt work you need to go thru the marker and clean/lube the lpr, hpr, and ram, then retry the above. Beyond that you'll need to replace parts and should probably have it serviced professionally.
Btw, congrats on the purchase. Sl74s are arguably the baddest marker ever made, even today.

I had similar issue and it was my ram oring and my diaphragm hat had to be changed. But that was on my 7, I am pretty sure the same thing can help you....

Battery, new o-rings on the ram, and new diaphrams for starters.
Dwell at 13.5 and LPR @ 1.5 turns in always worked for me.

-Replace battery, Duracell or Energizer(don't go cheap)
-Replace Rammer Orings( sizes 009, 009, and 011)
-Reset board to factory setting
If that does not work, check diaphragms. The SL 74's have two blue QEV's. Unscrew the front(will be silver) and there will be a conical seal in it. If it is torn it will need to be replaced.
If the diaphragms are good, check the reg seats in the LPR and HPR. The reg pistons in each will have a flat plastic seal pressed into the small end, if it is missing the entire piston needs to be replaced(can not simply replace the reg seat)
If all else fails it may need to be sent to a service center(even though parts are becoming scarce) for a more in depth check up.
Also be sure to check it out with a different tank(Guerrilla Air tanks are know to cause issues, rare but possible with other brands) before you go tearing the gun apart.
Any problems feel free to PM me.
-Chris.

First battery. Also make sure your using a HP tank sl74 which I have had two didn't like mp or lp tanks. Seemed like about 650-700 psi output seemed to be the sweet spot on mine.

Run my sl74 on 450psi, ninja reg. Fine, no shootdown. Smooth and fast.
