Is this bend in the end of the barrel how they come? I just traded for a Phantom that keeps chopping paint. Im sure its due to this but the guy I traded says that thats how all the barrels come.

Post a side picture to see how far down that ding goes. Freak boring it may git you a usable barrel but whomever traded it to you needs to make it right.

So the dent begins and ends before the threads?
That actually might not be so difficult to repair.
For some reason I wonder if a music shop that repairs instruments might be the right place to try.

i can fix it.

and if the threads are not messed up, i can freak bore it too.

fixing it would be as simple as rounding the hole back out with some steel gauge pins (done it a few times, that thin was is easy to work with)

freak boring it would be a better option, becasue you go from broken barrel to amazing barrel
