My shocker just recently started shooting sporadically. First shot is strong, but the second shot is only 50-60 fps, then its back to 280, then another 50-60. I just recently purchased a Guerilla tank and it works fine on my other marker, so I know that is not the problem.

ANy idea what would be causing this issue?


Only ideas I can think of would be...
1) Dwell setting too low
2) FSDO setting too high, and velocity is set too low

I just recently changed out the board, the bolt and the bolt guide. Would this combination have a substantial effect of the ability to recharge correctly? Dwell settings not changing the pressure requirements of the bolt / guide? I'm lost and unable to play - so I want to figure this out soon.

Battery was swap #1, but thanks for the help.

I was under the impression that the dwell could actually be DECREASED after changing to the TechT bolt. But thus far I find myself increasing the dwell (possibly). Not really what I was expecting. I'm now at 15 dwell on the Virtue board.

How are the oring tollerances? When you installed the new parts did you check the fit of the orings?

The tolerance on the bolt itself or both the guide and the bolt? I'm not sure as to what the ideal tolerance would be. I simply replaced a NDZ bolt with the TechT bolt, and left the orings as they came. Everything seems to be smooth as far as internals.

If you go to the v2 spring mod thread at the end of the first post theres a good read about oring tolerances and how to check for them. But you want to check everything that touches the bolt so inner can rings, inner sleeve ring, bolt sail ring and bolt guide tip orings.

Looks like I'll just play things safe and buy a 'Captain O-ring' kit and just replace all the o-rings on the internals, plus give the internals a very deep cleaning. I've got a gut feeling the dwell is the primary problem, but having all the O-rings wont hurt. Thanks for the guide / diagram though.
