Got new toys today. 700 only has 7k clicks on it. 24-70 is brand new. Wife got me the 700 for a christmas present, but said I needed it early for upcoming shoots. Awesome.

Definitely in love with the 700. The 24-70 is just a downright amazing lens as well, it really does act like a prime.

Question; what should I have done with the horizon(s) here? Definitely heading back to reshoot this because with the cold air blasting, my wife was in no mood to do this lol.

horizons look fine to me. cloud covered days are so fun to shoot in. The light is awesome.

Thoughts on this? Reprocessed this one shot; talked with fainer about how he gets his look and trying my own attempt. Right now I like this, but I may be biased... Turned the shadows and darks way up, cranked the contrast up, warmed up the highlights and boosted the saturation, cooled down the shadows and boosted the saturation a little bit as well. Also turned down the saturation in the greens.

well, I'll say the new looks OOF, so I'd sharpen it a bit..

edit: over all, I like the original better. I like the original composition, I feel like the her skin/clothing has more appealing color and tone. I'd try and take care of those 5 or so strands of hair that are floating around above her.

This is what I'd aim to achieve. Fall means rich and warm earthy tones and the above is exactly what I'd be looking for. I typically avoid using much cooling at all and push for more golden tones in the image.

Max, I'm not sure if it's Flickr, PBN, or your processing, but they look a little over-sharpened imo. Other than that I like your processing style.
