SCPA: A New Series

We are excited to finally announce the SCPA winter schedule. The SCPA has been a dream of ours for years but there was so much planning involved and details to work out that it kept being put off but not any more! This region has needed a series that could help grow the tournament scene. We feel the SCPA is able to fill that void and step up the game in the south central region.

The SCPA has had an overwhelming response from generous sponsors and industry leaders like GI Sportz and Empire. The sponsors and SCPA have really stepped up the game on this one with over $10,000.00 in prizes over the course of the season. This package allows for HUGE event and series prizes. All we have to say is World Cup.

As a player, you will love being a part of this first season. Your team will be part of a fun series that has a primary focus of making the whole experience fun and growing the sport. Prizes only provide a payout for the top teams but the SCPA goes beyond great prizes with killer pre-parties, sportsmanship awards, fun contests, and more.

Each location has been carefully chosen to ensure that they have what it takes to host the perfect series. Beyond just an airball field and a net, the surrounding area was scouted to make sure that affordable clean lodging and fun for the whole family is just around the corner. Each stop has something to offer everyone whether you like table games, golf, or even want to check out the home of NASA.

We at the SCPA would like to thank all of the sponsors, hosting fields and staff for being part of the South Central Paintball Association in offering the region a fun and competitive series.

Events:
Dallas initiative- Cousins Paintball, Dallas Texas.
Cajun Impact - Geaux Splat, Lake Charles Louisiana
Port City Grind- Off Limits Paintball, Shreveport Louisiana
H-town Closer- 5j Paintball, Houston Texas.

Please Check us out at:
http://scpa-paintball.com/home.html
http://www.facebook.com/SouthCentralPA

This is also a APPA event. you can find event information and pricing on the appa site as well. http://www.paintball-players.org

oklahoma is part of the south central region. this year there are only 4 events. we would like to expand into other parts of the south central region. where the series expands is dependent on where the support comes from.

like I said it depends on where the most support so if we move to oklahoma, as of right now I can not say what part of oklahoma. If the support from the area is large enough (I dont expect that it would be larger than texas or louisiana because those people would be local, but say overwhelmingly larger than arkansas) we would be looking to expand possibly as early as our next season. so a yearish. also we are based out of shreveport. we are dead center of the region so oklahoma is just as close to us as anything else.

shouldnt this be the louisiana-texas series? when will you be updating your website to include the event prizes? cash payout?

im assuming this will not be a race-to format? (would be a good ideas since that what all the successful series are doing now adays)

the d-4 will be a race two. there is a d-5 that will be at each event but they are stand alone 3 man round robin events.

we will not be announcing the exact prizes for the event just yet. we still have companies contacting us about sponsoring the event. I will say that right now, however, empire and GI are both on board.

the 3 man is a cash payout. the 5-man are prizes per event, they are not cash.

we decided not to call it a louisiana texas series because we really do want to expand within the region. everything has to start somewhere and this is where it started. if we were to expand into Oklahoma next season, what fields would you guys, as players in oklaohoma, like to see the event(s) be held at?

Valken is now on board as well. 5 sly masks per event to the team that shows the most sportsman like attitude.
