vlocity constantly running...

just bought a couple of vlocity's. one was supposed to be just for parts as it was untested but when i put batteries in it seemed to work. only thing is when the paint isn't dropping the paddles stop spinning but it sounds like the motor is still running. is this normal? i'm new to vlocity's.

They do that from time to time. I think it has something to do with keeping constant tension on the ball stack. You can program the tension to be lighter, which will help a little. Consult the manual.

I have a Vlo Jr w/ a Hyperdrive chip set to low tension, and Gangstar spring (lighter than stock spring), which reduces the constant sound considerably.

Yeah, according to the manual I should be able to but as far as I can tell pressing & holding the button doesn't do anything.

I have a Hyperdrive chip in my ol' Vlocity, and this issue seemed to get a little worse with it. When it's not actually feeding it will every once in a bit run for a few seconds, and it sounds like the gears are skipping. Not all the time, just a few times until it seems "satisfied" with something.

Like nerdcore says, I assumed it was keeping tension on the stack.

Not really a big deal, just a little annoying...

that loader should make the "noise" when it has balls in the stack. Thats why they are such a battery hog stock they are always pushing. There are aftermarket chips like the dynasty chip that you could control the seconds it pushes before it stops and waits for the ball to move then pushes for the set amount of time. If it a full size Vlocty then you can change the pressure on the stack but it sounds like its working fine. I was using one until about 2 months ago. I like them but they are taller than a skyscraper. You and everyone else on the field will know when you are out of paint because it just spins and they are not quiet.

also, when its "pushing" the light kind of flickers green. if its flickering red the batteries are low.
