I bought a used 250GB slim to replace the 60GB I had before.

It only took 2 1/2 years to get a new one. Poor 60GB is waiting for me to replaced the Blu-Ray Drive.

I got lucky when I bought it, as Gamestop was doing their buy 2 get 1 free on used games.

Was able to get:
God of War 3
Resistance 3
Killzone 3
Infamous 2
Metal Gear Solid HD collection
and GT5

This was a couple of weeks ago.

Moved back home for a few weeks and have nothing to do and a PS3 with no games. What will keep me entertained for the next few weeks? I was thinking GTA 4 or Black Ops.

GTA 4 may. all call of duty games campaigns can be beaten in a matter of hours. I personally don't care for their campaigns.

If you want nearly endless play time the elder scrolls games (Oblivion and skyrim) will suck the life out of you.

Heavy Rain is a heavy story game that has multiple endings a lot of unique gameplay and a lot to experience.

The Orange box is cheap and has all of half life 2 in it as well as portal and team fortress 2 (though its not as good as TF2 for pc since they gave it updates and the ps3 version didn't have those updates.)

GTA 4 complete edition on sale for 18$ at Target, looks like ill be playing that for the next few weeks.

Dilema if any of you mind helping. I live in the barracks and we have wireless internet. My ps3 uses to connect to it, poorly, but now it wont.

I have a usb antenna for my laptop which gets me full bars. I did some research on just hard connecting with a ethernet cord, but ive read things that say i just need a cat5 or a cross over. So im confused there.

Basically how can i connect my ps3 to my computer to use the wireless internet on it successfully.

Go pick up a cat5 cable from walmart or target, they are pretty cheap. I've never tried using a computer as a pass thru, but I imagine it would work. You could also try making your laptop a hot spot and connecting wireless.

Damn this thread was 3 pages back. What happened to us gentlemen? Anyways, I'm making a post because gamestop has a lot of the PS3 collection sets for 50% to power members (membership is free).

I picked up the god of war saga (I-III and both PSP games), the Jak collection, the Ratchet & Clank collection, and the team ico collection all new for under $60. Check it out.

This thread is a pretty good analogue for the PS3 right now. Is there even any good PS3 exclusives coming out this fall? The only exclusive I can think of is that Smash Bros. clone.

The PS3 (actually the entire Playstation line) has been a let down. While some really good third party games are coming out (ACIII for example), I feel Sony is rapidly fading from video games if not all the markets they are involved in). The company they used to be isn't the same. The spark that made the PS2 something of awesomeness simply isn't there any more.

Still im happy I bought these cause I've been played any of the games in any of the series. Many of the games that established them were PS2 classics. I'm about to start God of War up.

Uncharted series, The Last of Us, God of War, Metal Gear Solid 4, im sure theres more im missing.

The ps3 exclusives are all way better than the 360 exclusives (besides Halo)

The problem is ******* 360 devs that cant port a game to ps3 if their life depended on it. Im about ready to buy a 360 just because the ps3 community gets screwed over so often.

hate to say it but i kinda agree with MutR. i feel like lots of games have been dubbed down from what they could have been on the ps3 so they can work on other consoles.

but lately all the "good" games that have come out like borderlands 2 are all multiplatform. we really havent gotten an "exclusive" in a while. dust 514 looks pretty cool though and will be free 2 play.

I kind of think it's Sony's fault for using such out of the norm architecture that makes it hard to program for. They totally didn't have to, but that's Sony for you.

And I wasn't saying PS3 doesn't have ANY good exclusives, I know they do that's why I bought one. There just aren't any coming out this holiday season that I'm aware of. Which seems strange.
