Hey guys so I just got back into paintball and picked up an 05 ego. The gun came with a 2 piece CP barrel.

I played a couple weekends back and the gun shot "ok" I noticed a lack of accuracy and range while playing but I was so excited to be back in the game I delt with it.

Well after shooting it today I noticed the range and accuracy SUCK. If I shoot from start to 50 the ball barely makes it... As far as accuracy goes the balls are all over the place, i'm actually surprised I hit anything while playing.

When I chronoed it, it was shooting at ~230fps my fields limit is 250.

Any suggestions ? I don't want to go out and buy a new barrel if I don't have to but I will becuase it will save me money on paint

Yes the barrel is clean, Paint to barrel match isn't perfect but it's not off by much.

Buy better paint and chrono to field fps.

Do they offer different grades of paint to buy?

Clean your breach as well, check your hopper for any dirt, make sure you have the detents sent, make sure your bolt face doesn't have anything on it.

Your velocity is the biggest problem. You aren't having any gun problems. You are just chrono'd very low and your paintballs are losing much of their velocity before reaching your targets.

As was said, chrono to 250 and underbore

Also, if you chrono speeds are all over the place, then you may need to clean and lube your regs and rammer. make sure orings are good too. If that has been done already, try a different tank just to rule it out. Reset the board to stock. maybe your dwell is off. If you are not sure how to do those things, then ask the around in the PE forum.

suprised it hasnt been mentioned yet.

if your gun is acting up and your not really sure what it is...i.e it wont reach the proper fps regardless of what you do, eyes not working but dont appear to be damaged or anything.....

change the battery. its what powers everything, and its the easiest thing to check so you might as well do it first. markers can act pretty weird when the battery gets low.

Unless I'm missing something I don't think he is really even having true gun problems. It doesnt sound like he is having any leaks or inability to shoot. Just is chronoing too low. It might be nothing more than his regs being set up incorrectly. Perhaps his LPR is too many turns in (OP, stock is 2 from flush). Perhaps the original owner messed with the dwell.

I would also suggest setting our gun back to factory settings. If it is a problem with the dwell or something like that, then resetting it should help a ton.

don't tell me your cheating code 9 *** is back lol . waddup bro been a while no more socom I aint seen anyone in a minute. by the way I never liked cp I always stick to my ul all I shoot is dms though. anything else I prefer pepperstick. could be different better barrels now just started playing again few weeks ago
