Got a 12(stores) and 13(mine) here at the shop. same bolt, and both weigh in at 2lbs on a fishing scale.

The tan/red combo is Sexy though

Ummmm.....yeah. It is.
At least PE is just continuing to sell whats already on the market. Their most current version. Not releasing a marker, calling it new but it being the exact same as the last version.

Both Dye and PE make great markers, its all personal preference. There are improvements from the 07-13 DM and improvements from the 07-12 Ego. Pick your preference and go out and shoot people.

Honestly, I don't see it. The 12 and 13 are almost exactly identical, I think dye needs to do what PE did. Quit releasing a new marker every year, and try to come up with a new design, something different that will wow people...and i'm not talking about the DAM...

Maybe dye did do what pe did. But with style. Instead of keeping the same marker the same for a few years they just did alittle spice here and there so its not the same body as last year but they are keeping it the same like what pe is doing.
Every one *****es that there's nothing new each year with dye but no one is doing that with pe. At least dye is doing something so its not the same looking each year like the ego is.
What should be the problem and what people ***** about is how people drop the prices on markers bc there's a diff number at the end of the name. If people keep saying its the same as last years then why drop the price on last year model. Why doesn't that happin with the ego? It's been the same for a few years yet hasn't dropped. It's bc people are stupid

You try to Make the ego look different without adding weight. Also pe has changed the internals and updated bolts on their markers where as dye hasn't done anything.

Really? What changed between the Ego 7 and 8 on the bolt system? I believe all they did was change to a QEV block because the 07 qev wasn't very reliable. Ego 9-10? Nothing changed internally other than the solenoid because the 09 was tearing itself apart if it didn't have a plank kit.

DM7-8 they got rid of the eye covers. DM8-9 was a pretty big change for DMs. internally. 10-11 they got a new grip frame. 11-12 they made the bolt tooless. All minor changes like the Egos. But the DM bolt system really doesn't need to be updated.

What's so bad about making a minor change in milling to keep it looking a little different, and adding in some new colors? If you have a DM12 don't sell it for $700, sell it for 900-1000 since it's pretty much the same anyways. PE kept selling the Ego11 but started calling it an EgoS and just offered a couple new colors. It's the same thing but they didn't advertise it.

And these "minor" changes are exactly why pe moved away from yearly releases. We all have our opinions on this and mine is that dye needs to move away from yearly releases like pe has. I personally don't care to much for either company because of these minor changes that they have been making.

Okay, so if PE sells the same Ego for 3 years for the same price and Dye sells marginally different guns for 3 years for the same price than they are doing essentially the same thing.

Stop complaining about guns you aren't planning to buy. Believe me, at this point everyone reading the thread realizes that it is just the same gun with new milling. Your continued posting is not going to stop anyone from buying a new DM. It's pointless, idiotic, and exhausting.
