Has anyone tried out Pooty's bolt kit? How much of a difference does it make? And the ultra-low pressure can?

And is there much of a difference between the polished and non-polished bolts?

EDIT: Also, does Pooty charge you for polishing the bolt if you ask him to do it when you buy it?

Polishing bolts is a bad idea. The raw aluminum degrades over time. You'll get much better results from properly fitting your orings which you can learn how to do in the v2 spring mod thread. The bolt guide is a nice upgrade but way to expensive, you could find an 03 guide and mod it to do the same thing for a fraction of the price. The bolt I would wait a few more weeks and try to snag an eigenbolt. Its a much better bolt. But if thats the bolt you want Id get the NDZ speed bolt version, its basically the same bolt with a better face design and costs $5 or $10 less than pootys version.

Jim is incredibly knowledgeable on the shocker. I'd follow this advice.


I have his FF kit. I hadn't a chance to shoot a lot through it, but from what I have, it's comparable to the eigenbolt (also known as the god bolt).

Interesting. I thought Lurker wasn't making Shocker bolts anymore and moved on to Luxembourg bolts. Or are they interchangeable?

So the low pressure bolt guide and low pressure can don't make much of a difference?

You'll get slightly lower operating preassure and a slightly smoother shot but not a big enough difference to justify the price tag IMO.

Lurker is still making shocker bolts. He just got a big box of them in the mail and should be up FS in the next few weeks. I'd keep an eye on the eigenbolt thread and the lurkerpb facebook page for updates.

Let's avoid a hate thread guys. I like Pooty's work. I also like the Eigenbolt. I personally have a pooty bolt and am waiting for a clear can, because it'll look awesome.
