I cannot get the internal set screw to move at all. Brute force has not worked so far. Any ideas how to get it unstuck? Dont want to destroy the finish on the outside...

try heat the outer metal but not the screw. someone might have put loctite on it

i just put it on my hotplate and got it up to 150 deg f
did not budge.. i also sprayed oil inside.
idk how it got so stuck/?!

Find the longest screw you can find that fits the side, or use a strapwrench and a long allen key.

Or a long allen key, vice grips with a thick piece of leather/rubber between the IVG and the vicegrips.

^ pretty much doing this; im using a 1/4 drive impact drill with the ivg mounted in the gun.

It looks like someone may have glued it??? is this glue?!
i am currently soaking it in isopropyl alcohol.

has it always been locked up...looks like it was cross thread or the o-ring is seizing it up.
try mounting it in the gun for leverage, get a long allen wrench and use an extender(closed end wrench or some type of handle to better apply force) and work it loose.

worse comes to worst, i might sell you the one i have.

which way are you turning it> CW CCW
CW look like the way it will come out. Put a 10/32 screw in the hole put in vise and try allen wrench

I have been alternating both.

Had to soak it in penetrating oil for 3 days but it finally broke loose.
