FX ram stick?

I just cleaned my FX after playing last weekend like I always do... Now the bolt will not come back and the ram is kinda hard to get out. So I checked all my orings on the ram and put new oil again on them. Still the ram doesn't feel like it wants to go back. Should I just replace all the orings on the ram? It's had about 5 cases threw the marker. Thanks

you should grease the ram not oil it... but that wont cause this problem.

check the detents.. they might prevent the bolt from returning.

If I pull the ram out I can slide the bolt back and forward. That's why I think its the ram sticking... I've been using eclipse oil... That not right?

I had a bit of stick before. Did you check your bolt pin? The part were it holds the ram. Mine looked worn/bent outwards.

yeah make sure the bolt pin is in correctly. sometimes stacked tube guns do funny things if the pin is not connected correctly.

with the fx, you can honestly use whatever you want on the ram oring and have it "function correctly" but a nice grease is what you should be using. You wont have to clean and regrease often either.

check to see if the ram is bent near where the bolt pin slot is

Fixed it... The F'in spring was backwards... That's why I get for taking it apart and not laying it out the same way it came apart... My bad guys

I guess so... I flip it around and it works... Just for ****s and gigs I turned it back the old way and yep it didn't go back at the way. Crazy stuff now I know

That's weird! I surprised to hear about that. The spring that goes around the law ram right? Mine seems to be the same dimensions all around.

That is extremely weird... I've owned two FX's and I never saw a difference or change in behavior with which direction I had the spring in, and my first one had a muffed up spring!

I feel as if you should look into getting a new spring, or if your friend has an FX put their spring in your FX and see what happens. Because the spring worked the same on both my FX's and both my teammate's no matter which way it faced.

Yeah thats why I was surprised with my FX. I woke up this AM and for the hell of it I tried it again. Yep when I turned the spring around it stopped the ram from moving back and caused the bolt to stick forward. It's strange because I checked out the spring and I didn't see where it is shaped or looks any different from front to rear. Oh well I will that remember from now on
