Help me price and identify compressor

The fire department donated a compressor to our field but it is 3 phase and we cant use that - not sure we want the cost to bring 3 phase to the field.

I dont know the model but here is what I know
3 phase electric Bauer compressor
6000 PSI, panel full of controls is part of the unit
its pretty big 5x5x6
It has some auto bleed mechanism and needs rebuild on the bearings for the high pressure. It works fine but needs to be bled manually.
Low pressure works fine
It is clean and nice looking

We are leaning towards selling it and buying a gasoline one, any recommendations on the compressor and any idea on pricing it (no pics atm)

If you could please take some pictures of the unit, the info plate on the motor, and there should be an info plate on the compressor itself. The more of this you can get the more information I can give you.

5x5x6 is a pretty decent sized compressor, and three phase power tells me that it is more than likely a larger unit. 6000 PSI units are more expensive than 5000PSI units.

Auto Drains cost about $1000 at best to replace.
Bearings means a full tear down, and you will be in several hours of labor plus parts.

The way I understand it the low pressure is like 3500 and works flawlessly and the higher pressure can beusedand manually bled.

Here are the only two pics I have for now, any idea what this is worth. Im thinking since I dont have 3 phase I will either sell it as is or fix it and sell it, but Im not sure which would be a better choice.

Running 3 phase power is very expensive but what you can look into is a phase converter.

There should be a blue and silver plate somewhere on the frame that gives the compressor specs. Take a picture of that and I can tell you what you have. There's also a serial number stamped on the compressor block that will give some info. PM me with some photos and I'll help you figure out what you have.

I am not 100% positive but cant you swap the electric motor for a 220. Baldor does make a motor that will power that compressor. They are not cheap i believe some where around $2000. But that might be a cheaper option.

I am gonna get it this week and look more thoroughly, after googling images this particular one looks identical to the one we are getting but this one is smaller single phase and only 5K
Good news is this one sold for like 5600 or something so hopefullly ours will sell as high (that would go a long way toward a smaller compressor and more netting or bunkers etc)
Anyone have an idea of what it is worth or want to make any offers? I will ofc have more info next week.

If the block is the same, it's probably a K14 (the one pictured is a 3 stage compressor). CFM will depend on the motor size.

See that blue plate on the right side of the photo? That plate will give you the specs on a compressor.

Depending on the age of the compressor, hours, and accessories, you're probably looking in the $3500 range on the used market.

3-phase machines are harder to sell than single phase. Not many paintball fields have access to 3-phase.

I was hoping this one is worth more, your saying it is worth less ?
I will look up the k14 thanks for the info

If it's 4 stage, it's different from the one you pictured. Look closely at the picture and you'll see the three stages. They're in the 10 o'clock, 12 o'clock, and 2 o'clock positions. A four stage Bauer will have the stages spaced 90 degrees from each other.

Selling/pricing a used compressor can be tricky. A compressor being sold in an area that's populated with scuba divers will fetch more than a compressor being sold in the Midwest. I've bought a number of used Bauer compressors over the years, so I have a good idea of what they go for in the Midwest. A K14 like the one pictured usually goes for $3-4k, unless it has really low hours (below 500).

If you're looking to sell to a paintball field, a gas/diesel compressor will be easier to sell than an electric. Likewise, a single stage compressor is easier to sell than a 3-phase.
