G4 and F8 issues
went to try outs with 4 guns yesterday and 2 of the issues i cant figure out, both of which are on the DP guns.. on the G4 i have just taken the reg apart and lubed as well as the bolt and components. went out back and fired both guns shot fine near 275 280.. go to the field to chrono im shooting in some sort of order like so. 193, 215, 232, 250, 275, 290, 190,220 etc... strange, and id been luky if it was gettin 70 out of the f8.. i used smart parts white lube... any ideas?

no many people know that some lube looses it viscosity when its cold and since winter performing the test in side the house might have a nomimal temperature to do the testing. but when you go outside the lube turns your gun sluggish. you need a thinner ltube for winter. i suggest slick honey, its good year round and does not looses its testure when its really cold unlike dow33 base lube. i would stay away from any dow33 base lube during winter.

In addition to battery and/or lube issues, another thing common in winter is too low of a dwell.

both our g4s shoot no issues in chilly weather with lurker lube or violent pb jelly. I think you should try one of those, or even monkey poo. all three have never done me wrong with ANY dp marker, and ive had alot of them.
The g4 should function at 12ms dwell in the cold but 13-14 will not hurt it one bit. It actually tends to prefer 11ms in summer weather.
If good proven grease and a new battery does not fix the issues, i think you should follow this thread

What seems to be going on with the fusion? Low velocity makes me think the valve is not opening properly. is your spring and poppet installed correctly? Is the little tiny oring on the end of the poppet (valve pin) still there?
Remember, new batterys might be all you need.

thanks for your help, im used to playing in florida, now im in MA and playing for my first time in cold weather.. and i know these things tend to get touchy with lube... thanks again for the advice

If tuned correctly for your conditions, 0 would be ideal.
