dynasty knocked out of sunday?
is it just me or did dynasty get knocked out of sunday at world cup? looking at the games for tomorrow from the live webcast, it looked like dynasty didn't make it to sunday

that really sucks for dynasty and vicious to win 3/4 pre-lim games and still not move on to sunday

Yep, this seems to happen in the Pro brackets. Part of the reason for the clarification for 3-way-tie arguments after MAO last year.

Not in a direct way. It was just a function of having so many 3-1 teams

They finished with a 1.25 and Vicious/Legion/Infamous all finished with a 1.5. Vicious didn't get in, if anything I'd be more upset for them then Dynasty.

No one in the pro division went 4-0. Everyone basically went 3-1 or **** the bed and went 0-4.
It isn't really that weird that they didn't make it. They didn't have the point spread to do it.

yes. Instead of having the traditional format of 2 brackets of 6 teams in the PRO division, it was changed to one large bracket of 14 teams. This increases the chances that you are going to have more teams likely to go 3 and 1.
Adding the two teams also now has you taking 42% (6 teams out of 14) on to the next round, as opposed to 50% (6 teams out of 12).

Give props to Dynasty. Not fair to go 3-1, and beat the #1 team in the league. Then you are told you are going home because other 3-1 teams played weaker brackets and you lose on point spread.
It is harder to beat the #1 team by one then smash the number 14 team by 7.

They do that by seeding. The "better" teams had "weaker" brackets because they're seeded higher.
It's not a favoritism thing. Those teams smash and deserve everything they get (byes, high seeds for better brackets)
They did it right. You guys are complaining that two new teams came in to mess up the brackets. Look at divisional... We had 18 teams in chi and at World Cup we had damn near 40 teams.

Yeah... Its only fair for the teams that do better in prior events to be placed in easier brackets just like any bracket based tournament. Of course those teams will get the edge if something came down to the wire like it did...
Just goes to show that seeding is important.
