09 spyder pilot with eyes
 i just bought a 09 spyder pilot with eyes and i wanted to upgrade the feed neck to one with the locking tab so i dont have to use that crappy elbow, i see there are different thread types i need to know what one would work for me , some say ion thread will work and others say it wont any help would be much appreciated thanks how do i know if my pilot is a 08 or 09 because there is a chance it is a 08 im not sure just going by what the ebay seller said

I'm not one of the experts, so maybe they will correct me, but... 
If it is an 09, I believe the ion threads should still work, unless they did something different to the pilots than the electras.
As to how to figure it out, do you have an adjustable feedneck, or does it require an adapter? If it has the screw collar, then it is an 09.

Go to page 16.
The 08 required the straight elbow to fit a standard hopper.

That may not be the proper term, but kinda like you have on the elbow, where you have to adjust the screw to get the hopper on. If you look at that link and the breakdown, you can see that there is a collar that goes around the feedneck on 09's.

i understand , no it dont have the clamping collar , i have to use a straight elbow between the gun and hoppper ,

I wish I could tell you for sure. But I can't, I know a 09 has a different thread for its feed neck.

It's 100% ion threaded trust me I took my clamping feedneck off my ion and put it on my 09 pilot it will work for sure

We're thinking his is an 08, though. Did yours require a straight elbow beforehand?
