Spyder Pilot ACS Not firing

Hello all i am hoping i can get some help from the people here. I have a Spyder Pilot ACS that i can not get to fire.

Background Info- I bought the gun about 6 years ago when i was in HS. I used it probably 4 times 1 summer. that was also the last time i used the gun. I did clean it before i put it away.

Now- So far i have taken the gun completely apart and cleaned and re oiled all the o-rings. Still could not get it to fire so i thought it could be the old battery that was in it. So i bought a "powerex 9.6V 230mAH" battery and charged it up. Still no fire at all.

I cant get it to even dry fire with no air going to the gun.

I can how ever with air into the gun get it to fire if i press the "hammer" (dont know the technical term) but it release the bolt and it fires and recocks like if it would fire normal.

Please help i was hoping to go play this weekend.

Also thanks for any advice that is given. And sorry for the re-post but i read through the older post on this same topic and nothing seemed to work for me.

Sounds like it could be the board took a crap on you. Do you hear the solenoid click when you pull the trigger?

Little update. I can now get it to fire if i have it plugged in and lightly pull back on the top cocking piece a little while pulling the trigger.

And yes the solenoid still fires when i pull the trigger.

Try backing off the spring pressure on the back of the gun. I think the solenoid might be going bad. It might not have enough power to trip the sear. By you pulling back on it you are taking some pressure off the sear. It might be the capacitor going bad. Look at it see if the bottom has a bulge to it. It should be flat.

By the bottom of the capacitor do you mean the side of the capacitor that the wires are not going into? so the opposite side of the wires?

If so it does have a small roundness to it right now. nothing to major though. and its at the very bottom base.

Yes the bottom without wires. The center should be flat if its not its bad.
