What are some cheap but good pump guns? I'm looking to try out markers but I don't want spend a ton a money if I'm not going to end up liking it. So around the $100 mark.

I started with an azodin kaos pump and that was a great marker. The empire trracer is a more tactical style pump that is also a great marker to start with. From those I built my self a sniper (autoccker pump) and that's also a very customisable and affordable marker. If you choose to go that way i have some spare parts we can work a deal on. Empire Trracer is a great pump at the lower end of the budget. It comes with features you'd expect in a $200 gun.

That's sort of irrelevant, I mean generally the way these things have worked on other forums is the honor system but if you think PBN can't handle that, any gun going into the registry is basically considered donated up front. I mean it's not realistic to think people are going to be putting their babies on such a registry. Plus we will have the information of the people who currently possess the guns. The pbn feedback system can also be employed for this.

Save another 50 or so and get a autococker pump. Avoid a trilogy try to get a prostock.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with a trilogy pump (semi auto is a different story)

I say the trilogy pump is the best bang for your buck. The azodin shoot nice but sounds stupid when you shoot it, fart noise just sounds cheap to me. the new traccer has bad build quality from what I've seen. you can't go wrong with an old sl68 but the pump stroke is usually pretty stiff.

yes for more money you can get a better gun
but dollar for dollar i'll take a trilly over a prostock

the azodin is cool, its cheap, its a spyder with a pump handle
if you love your spyder (and yes some people do) then it could be an easy platform to jump on, since you already understand how it works

i have seen a few pump linkage arms snap, but i heard they upgraded them to stainless (duh) and they stopped having issues

they do make a fart sound, that a well tuned autococker wont
but the "fart" is so far down on my list of deciding factors, i wouldnt even worry about it
