Is it just me or does it seem that every season the gear just becomes more and more expensive? Where do the companies think we have all this money laying around? We spend most of our money playing as is. $100+ for a jersey, $199+ for a pair of pants?????? in the money that one would spend on their "new and improved" apparel, they could have decent marker and set up instead.

Why do companies charge so much for their gear? I don't think these paintball companies are struggling to make a profit?

One thing I see is cheaper on the Dye website is their Tactical Vest... What I'm seeing is $26.95 for the vest with no attachments when the older version was $80+ ?

I'm not sure if the pricing is right on the website or not >.> But if so, that's one of the very few times Dye's pricing seems exceptionally reasonable.

This is the same strategy that all clothing retailers have.
You pay through the nose for first dibbs because they have to reduce the price of the old product.

Inflation, labour costs overseas, materials costs, shipping costs (for the entire supply chain required to manufacture and distribute said gear). These things aren't cheap, and are always increasing in price. As companies have to pay more to get products manufactured, they have to pass those costs on to the cosumer in some form.

What, did you think they just all went into a meeting and said "Hey, let's charge more this year"?
