Third Party Presidential Debate - The Debate American Media Doesn't Want You to Watch
http://www.c-span.org/Events/Third-P...e/10737435220/
Was live on cspan at 8pm CST today. Gary Johnson, Jill Stein, Virgil Goode, and Rocky Anderson.
I watched it. Did anyone else? Or are you all two party drones who pretend Romney and Obama are anything but corporate shills of big oil, the military industrial complex, big pharma, and Israel?
Johnson's performance was fantastic. Very enthusiastic. I did like Virgil Goode in how succinct his messages were.

I didn't watch any of the debates because they are both worthless. Do I get some credit?

Ironic coming from an obamabot. He can't even figure out how to balance a budget. Must have been absent the day his class was taught addition and subtraction.

Heh. Consider your point punted into outer space. Gary Johnson's record sucks for a libertarian candidate, it's just not well-known because he's irrelevant.

So how was my point punted into outer space? We must be looking at a different graph because I see a huge increase in debt under obama, which was my point.

He's better than Barry.
Serious question to people who aren't paid liberal bloggers (like the guy quoted above) - why didn't Ron Paul supporters throw all their support to Gary Johnson? Why now give it to Romney? Paul bots only loyal to Paul, and not the ideologies they claimed to represent?

I've asked a few friends who are what you would call "Paul bots" and they just shrug at Johnson and say that it's too late to jump on the presidential campaign boat so they have to vote for the better of the two candidates and then grumble about the RNC and how unfair the whole system is.

Those friends fell for the cult of personality, and are too lazy to correct their course and keep moving. They're part of the problem.

I agree but I have a feeling that's what Ron Paul is, the candidate for hipsters.

That may be true, either way he'll never be taken seriously.

Anyone is better than Obama...
But, voting third party makes you a 1%. As that is the typical vote percentage for third party candidates. Essentially you are throwing away your vote.
We have a two party system, don't like the candidate get involved with one of the two parties and help change it.
Going third party when they have NO CHANCE of getting elected is silly.
Course, everyone that saw the Ross Perot effect already knows this.

The same argument to get involved with the two parties can be made to get more people involved in the "other" parties. Your nihilistic argument rubs me the wrong way.

I don't think anyone that is voting 3rd party thinks they have a legitimate shot. Their purpose for the vote is to:
1) display public unrest (if 3rd parties got 20%, people would see that people are pissed)
2) promote their ideals and get public interest
3) force a party to appeal to their ideals (if Obama wins by 3% and there is a 15% 3rd party vote, you can bet that next elections conservatives will appeal harder to the 3rd party)
4) be a hipster (lets be honest)
You think we will see the result of any of those things in two weeks? If their intention is not to win but to promote a cause, then losing an election isn't a wasted vote. Don't get pissy at them because your party is desperate for their votes.
