Go back to basics.
Lose the drama, the inter-team politics, the obligations of practices and competitions, the pressure to be, well, good. Grab your favorite blowback, a set of BDU's, and just have some fricken fun. Give your self permission to play badly now and then. Don't be "legit", don't be "hard core", and for the love of God don't be "serious". It's a game, treat it as such from time to time and all the fun will return.
Remember, recballers never quit, they just haven't been to the field in a while.

Roger that. Grab a pump and jump in with renters, first timers, or those old guys that show up once in a while.

Best thing you can do to reboot your interest in the game is get out of the "serious" game. When it becomes a drag, nobody's going to want to do it, that's what jobs are for. This is supposed to be fun!

Amen to that! I may only get out a couple times a year lately, but it's better than quitting. Thing is, if you walk away entirely, you may find that you miss it, and then you have to buy back all the stuff you need to play. Sure, some things you'll want new anyway. Goggle lens, maybe a tank if yours is out of date, but the core gear doesn't change that much anymore. The days of quantum leaps in gear are gone, really. And trust me, when you sell off something you really love, it's hard as hell to find anything like it again.

Just play recball. I used to play on a team but it made the sport into work. Therefore I quit and just play recball with the intermediate/advanced guys. It's much more fun now.

Basically you want us to beg you not to quit? In your mind you know if you get a good reason you won't quit. If you don't get a good reason you still won't quit. This post sucks

I recommend that you quit for awhile and attend some grammar lessons.
Then come back and play some paintball. But like some others said, if you're making a "job" out of it, you need to re-evaluate your approach to paintball.
