Your view on DP?
I haven't owned a Dangerous Power gun, but the guys at my local field have very mixed feelings. I have heard that DP guns are amazing, especially the FX and the Rev-I, but I have also heard that DP guns are unreliable, horrible, and the customer service is terrible. I just wanted to ask, what are your views on this company and their products?

CS is not super great but its not horrible either. although you really dont ever need to contact them unless its a part thats covered under warranty. all you really need to do is post your issues on here and we can help you.
DP guns are great guns. they are as reliable as the owner treats them. if you throw your gun in your gear bag after every day of play and dont do simple maintence then sure its going to break eventually. any gun would though.

I'll always be a fan of DP. As Trigger said, as long as you take care of it, it'll take care of you. Just like any other. And the maintenance for the markers you stated are a quick 2 minute job, 5 if you're like me and very meticulous. I have an f7 that layed dormant for about 3-4 years and still runs.

Any gun in the hands of a person who doesn't know how to take care of it is unreliable and horrible. Just ask any G6r owner that is too cheap to buy a pressure tester. DP makes good performing guns that are among the best values in their price ranges.

I love DP. I'd rather have G3's over any other $600+ marker I've owned or shot.
Take care of your marker, and your marker will take care of you.
And I've heard a lot about DP making ****ty guns, but it's just newbs who don't know anything that give them a bad name.

^ his g3s got the **** kicked out of them a few weeks ago at a tournement that i.was in. they never let up.
the only dp gun ive had that actually refused to work is the fx. in comparison to the f7 and f8, it is mediocer. the detents, valve and bolt are all sub par compared to the older fusions. it always chopped and kicked and was just bad. sometimes the bolts snap in half and recently we found that the eye cover tollorance must be bad because the eyes can still wiggle while the covers are installed.
i think Amazone (the company that bought dp after the spec r was released) is really ruining dp. the customer service went down hill (but has recently gotten much better) the only amazone produced gun that dp has sent to market is the fx (i think) and go figure it has problems. the g4 works great but its designed completly off the spec r (which was a DP gun)
i would not hesitate to guy a g4 or anything older but the fx and anything new to come has me a little worried.

They are as reliable as any other paintball marker on the market. People hate on DPs because you typically see young kids playing with them who have really no clue what they're doing. They end up not taking care of it and when something goes wrong they blame the brand.
There are a few issues with some of the markers just like there are with any marker in any market.
1. G3 stock regulator on first release was able to be over-pressurized. You need the red reg seat to fix it (they ship these for free to you)
2. FX some issues with detents and there was an issue with bolts snapping.
3. Rev-i only issue is if you set the debounce to 0 you would screw up the board and need it to be reflashed (free) to fix it.
4. G4 no issues I am aware of.
No matter what field you go to you are going to find people hating on specific brands. Everything from hate on Dye to DP. Ignore it.

I like G4 and there products. It's based on how well you take care of it like people above me have said, but i take great care of my guns and they treat me well in return.

I've owned 4 dp markers, the G3 has had its issues, but it had issues when I purchased it. First f7 was a nice marker, my second F7 is giving me fits, rebuilding it for the second time right now, but I think a piece of junk is in an air passageway, which really isn't a dp issue. My Fx has been flawless.
As far as Dp customer service, as long as you talk to them, they're fine. I have had zero issues with any customer service related mis que's. However, I don't ask for free service and expect to pay for work done by them or parts purchased from them. Dp customer service has been real helpful on issues i've talked to them about (5-6 times).
Recently purchased an Drone Dx, I need reliablity, but of course, it had an issue as well, and the marker had to be sent into customer service... So it really isn't anything special that Dp has issues. MacDev customer service steered me in the wrong direction with a leak in the marker. Sent it to them and they fixed it at a charge, charge for shipping both ways, only to find out if he had given me a better idea of what needed to be fixed I could have fixed it at the house. CS misque...

I haven't owned any of the Fusions, but I've own(ed) a Rev-I, 2 G3's, a Spec-R and have another Spec-R coming in.
For me, when I first started playing paintball I went from Eclipse to DP> It was one of the most rewarding things I've done as well. I found a great community behind the markers. The markers do require maintenance but are extremely simple. The spools shoot amazing and have great ergonomics for me. They aren't the most efficient but there are ways to improve on it. I haven't had to deal with CS much so I can say much about it other than what someone else can say.
I still have a G3 and Spec-R. I have a second Spec-R on the way and my roommate owns my first G3 as a back up to his DM.

I haven't had any problems with the sales end of the DP cs. I always have a good time when I call to order anything. Haven't had to call for services or anything else yet tho.

you shouldnt need to contact them for repairs or stuff like that. your better off just asking us first. this community is by far the most helpful forum on PBN.

I spent 15 min. going over this issue I'm having with my f7 with Dp tech department last night. Very helpful, offered multiple options to fix the problem but so far nothing has worked. CS was helpful, never asked for a penny, I have zero complaints from that aspect.
Now whatever is up with my LPR is beyond me. Ya know, I'm going to post something here, see what you guys think.

I've owed both the G3 Spec R and now the FX. After cleaning the DP lube out of the Spec R it was a gas hog (which from what I heard could be fixed with a techt bolt engine, never got around to getting one of those) but besides that it was a great marker. When I got back into paintball I didn't want a spoolie so I went with the FX. It did have some kick but after installing a tech t hush bolt with new detents and law ram I LOVE IT! Its a great shooting marker and its great on air. I clean the bolt and ram after everytime I play and service the reg every month. So from like what the other guys said... if you take care of your stuff it will take care of you. Now I do have to say DP could step up there customer service for sure. But other than that I love my DP
