Can't find tank Hydro for a reasonable price.

I am in the Poughkeepsie area of NY and i have a bunch of tanks that need to be tested, but i can't find a place that will do them for a reasonable price. Can anyone help me? I don't mind taking a ride to go to the right place but not too far.
I'm not gonna spend close to $30 to hydro a $25 co2 tank. Besides, i have like 7 hpa tanks to get done and that would be way too much money.

CO2 tanks are essentially "dispose of" items when they're up for hydro, unless you can get a bulk rate.

Drop a line to SwapMyTank.com and see what they can do for you. They're the only place non-local I'd trust.

$30 for an HPA tank is a reasonable price that's what most places go for. $30 every 5 years isn't much especially when the alternative is damaging your tank, not realizing it, and having 4500 psi of pressure explode in your face.

CO2 tanks are disposable.

Ok. Thanks for the help. I just assumed that 30 was expensive because that's how much the local shop charges and they don't do it themselves, they send it to someone else, so i figured i could cut out the middle man.

I've heard of people having a local fire department do it for them. Might be worth a few phone calls for you to find out.

I spent time on this a year ago. There were a few places that would send the tank out and you'd have to wait 3-5 days, one being a scuba place.

I ended up finding a place called "Fire Protection CO" that does in-house hydro testing of fire extinguishers, air tanks, and sells fire hose, and all other equipment. They did my two HPA tanks for 25 a pop and i got them back in under 2 hours.

So doing a little research in your area might save you money and LOTS of time
