Agreed. Ms. Sweeney especially is quite stunning, and I always enjoy your photos of her.

Haha the bendy girls will come soon. In the meantime, one of my senior classes consists of free marketing labor for a local country club.

4 seconds at f16, ISO 200. shot with a 16mm on a full frame D800. I had to crop in a bit since the ND filter was showing.

Original exposure:

Just take each part of the image and make it look good. Start with water, then move to a rock, then another rock, then a leaf, then a tree. Soon you've selectively adjusted each variable to look better. Afterwards you can do some global adjustments to help tie everything together with a common temperature or hue.

Example: For this photo the water looked better with a cooler color temperature (adjusted in adobe camera raw), and the rest of the scene looked better with a warmer color temp to make the trees more fall-like (adjusted in camera raw). Combine them by layering them on top and using a layer mask to hide parts of the top layer.

So you prefer to repeatedly edit the whole photo and layer mask it rather than brushing in the adjustments manually to a single image? I really do need to actually sit down and overhaul a photo, I never do anything so detailed, all my editing is global.

Made a lightbox tonight with some cardboard and tissue paper, I sell tons of stuff on ebay and have no idea why I didn't do it sooner.

I prefer the controls of camera raw, which allow me to easily change things like color temp, curves, and contrast all in one spot, rather than separate shortcuts. Also, when I'm editing in camera raw, everything is 14 bit, until I open into photoshop when my edit turns into an 8bit (this is just me being lazy and not working with 14bit files). I'll do that for a few rounds, adding each layer as i go.

After I get that base established I'll using layer adjustments without that repetitive process of reediting in camera raw.

Yea my processing is definitely a weak part for me, add to that my inability to scan an image well...

iphone pic at 60mph from my ride to work this morning. Several funnel clouds came down from the storm but none touched down.
