Tough decision, and i dont think i could pick just one gun. If you're playing speedball i think you should get the guys playing back to purchase and Etek 3 or 4.... and the guys playing mid/front an Axe... But thats in a perfect world. If it came down to having one gun throughout the entire team, then i'd pick the more efficient etek.

I agree with this. I would probably take the Etha out of the mix as it is not in the same class as the others when talking about tournament play. There are not all that many differences between the Etek 3 and Etek 4 so you will have to decide if you would prefer the cheaper or more expensive marker. The Axe has proven itself now and many guys seem to like it. I have not owned one but I have shot one and it really is a nice marker. I have owned an Etek 3 and while it is no Ego, it does offer similar performance for a lower price. If I were to choose one marker for the whole team I think I would choose the Etek 3. If you are alright with spending a little more, get the Etek 4.

seeing as you are a team I would get the same brand of marker atleast so would say go with PE. This way you have more to choose from. if you get a axe well u have a axe or a mini so pretty much same.

Personally, either all of you guys search the forums and find something they want and can afford, or i would get in touch with your local paintball store and see if they will do a team discount if you bought brand new guns. I've heard some teams getting great deals on etek 3's this way.
That being said, unless you're a sponsored team that has to use a certain brand gun, i would just let your team buy used guns and just try to keep them to certain colors only if you want it to look more uniformed.

Eteks are awesome guns buddy. A bunch of guys on my team shoot them and they are real work horses. Its amazing how great these guns line up against higher end guns. Find a good deal for one in bst. You wont regret it

Unless you have a legitimate gun sponser that is giving you an awesome price and deal just on the gun, (not a package deal that they offer any team willing to get decked out in their gear) you do not need to worry about getting the same guns. Personally, let everyone shoot the gun of their choice and feel comfortable playing with the gun. Assuming you are not d3+ you should allow people to be comfortable and improve their skill level and mental understanding of the game. Having an uncomfortable gun only distracts you and can throw off your technique/posture/etc.
TLR: If you are not like a high d3 team or above then do not worry about getting a "team gun" let everyone play with what they like and save money for practice/events

I put other, I did a lot of searching and reading in that same price catagory and purchased a macdev Drone Dx... It has the reliability, spool feel, great shot, ease of maintenance I was looking for in this catagory.
Oh, and I still love my Fx from Dp, you can pick one up cheaper than above, and still have a reliable good marker. Um, my kid uses the drone.

I'd go with an Axe over the choices provided above. It has the lowest operating pressure and sound signature of any of those markers.

Operating pressure and sound signature are nice but should not be the sole reason to buy a marker. Hell Ego/Etek owners love their guns although they could put a Banshee to shame.
