Hello guys I'm from South Africa and will be in Chicago from the 14th of November. I play paintball here in RSA and would like to see how it is in America because apparently you guys the best. We play mainly psp 3 and 5 man in South Africa and we are currently ranked equivalent to div 3. (i.e. if we play any tournament in South Africa the highest div any South African team can compete in is div 3 so we have div 5,4 and 3 we do this so we can be on the ranking list) I won't be having any gear at all with me so would need to borrow some. But if you help me out I'll help you out if you ever come to South Africa. Would love to train/play with a team on a weekend or even during the week. Let me know

Try Paintball Explosion.
Not only do the have an indoor and outdoor air all field, they have 6 other scenario fields to play on.
If you go out on either Thursday nights or Sunday mornings you will find all kinds of speedball competition.
They also rent Ethas and Crossovers
I can't commit to loaning you something, but you can't go wrong at Painball Explosion!

Thanks guys! I will be in chicago on the 17th. My holiday is pretty planned out but I should be free Sunday the 18th and Thursday 29th. I will contact you guys again closer to the time. But it would be awesome if I could play /practise with a team just to see how you guys do stuff.

Ok well Thursday nights at Ohare we get some teams, and they would love to have you jump on with them! And not to mention entry, case, and air $55!!

OK sweet thanks Tweaky I'll definitely call you up when I get there. That sounds great. I have been checking out the prices and you guys seem to pay a lot more than what we pay in South Africa but $55 for case of paint air and entry is very reasonable. I'm super excited to play ball with some Americans

Yea Ohare is the place to be, its the cleanest field in all of Chicago! Im there all the time and ill probably see you there!

Ohare is a really nice, very clean facility. I am not so sure that is where the strong competition is going to be though. If you really want to see what Midwest American paintball has to offer as far as talent you are going to want to be at most likely Chicago Land Paintball. The facility is not as nice, but that is where your top tier MW teams play at. The likes of Boom, Wiseguys, Distortion, Aftershock, and Infamous all practice out of there in the winter months.

There is a thread in the chicagoland paintball section, a guy just stopped by on 9/28 during what should be a busy time and noone was at the facility. Also said the place looked like absolute ****.... chicago land that is..

Chicagoland gets players on Thursdays and Sundays. And of course no one was their on 9/28.... Everyone was still playing outside, come november though it will be cold enough that people will be playing indoors.

Yesterday (thursday) Ohare paintball had a lot of player out, good competition too!!

People will still be outside as long as its above 50 degrees and not raining.

So I am in chicago and itching to play some paintball where do I go. I couldn't bring any gear though could only bring pants slide shorts and top would be awesome if someone could lend me a marker hopper tank and mask. Tweaky said he'd help out but he hasn't gotten back to me...

Hours at CLP and O'Hare Paintball are 12:00 noon to 7:00pm, so there is still time to get in a day there if you can find a ride and some gear. I can't help you, unfortunately, but I'll see if I can send anyone over here who can.
