Ego Conversion Kit Tight?

Figured I'd run this through here just to get some opinions/suggestions. Recently I put a .50 cal conversion kit on my 08 ego. As I was putting it in I noticed that the blue circle part just below the feedneck was really difficult to put in. Is this going to be a problem when I want to remove it?

Side note: I love the .50 cal. It makes it much more affordable for me to play and doesn't really change the way I play at all

I use to use it in my 08 and it was pretty hard to put it in the right way. Yes it is kinda hard to take out but what I did to take it out is put a dye took that looks like a hook in there and wedge it then lift up and it comes right out. You cant take it out by hand...or atleast I couldnt because I have fat fingers.

I wound up taking it to the pro shop and he couldn't get it out either. Let's hope eclipse can get it out safely.

i nabbed the kit for her for $80 on sale

and i recently just got the ego back eclipse got the kit out and i got a replacement kit, had the same problem, seems eclipse measured the OD for it before anno, and anno added just a little bit too much material, so i took the replacement one and sanded all the anno off then sanded it down till it slid in and out easily but still a good enough fit that it wouldn't wiggle around and then ran it through the polishing wheel and cleaned it all up nice and shiny.

works great now.

What kind of feeding system do you have to use with the .50?

Well, hoppers that I know don't work: Rotor

That's literally it. With something to funnel .50 in the feedneck any hopper (minus the Rotor) should work provided they just push the balls in.

The warp feed and Qloader are not included.

Because of the way it operates, a .50 ball is VERY likely to get caught between the arm and the top spindle thingy.

i'll put a picture up of the insert for the feedneck when i get home, it just looks polished silver on the outside you can't tell the dimensions from looking at it.

the rotor feeds .50, but it is inconsistent and jams, the Z2 feeds it very very well, but i personally use a spyder rapid-e loader with a vl-200 feedneck chopped off and put around it so that it fits in the feedneck.

.50 shoots just like .68 there is maybe a 20 foot difference in range which you don't notice at all, it shoots very very straight and it is more efficient. on one 68/45 i shot around 3000 rounds of .50 and had air left. the key here is the ability to go from .50 to .68 easily

i may make a video when i get time but i have been very very busy lately.

In all serious, it's all that people complain about are the unplayable short ranges of .50.

Have you ever played at 275 to make up for an inconsistent marker?...

Try it, you'll notice that it's about the same as that 20ft distance loss if not more.
