Talking 3D printing!!!

Get ahead of the technology game, buy a 3d printer! They're amazing. Companies are using them for anything from printing off concrete portions of buildings to printing transplant organs. The industrial technology is advancing and you can now have one in your home.

Any paintball related opportunities that come to mind?

Here's a couple of directories for finding personal rapid prototypers:

www.3dprintingscripts.com
www.custom3dscripts.com
www.urapidprototype.com

Any thoughts on this new technology that is supposed to be the next thing since inkjet printers??

not sure if derlin is printable, or if there is a suitable plastic substitute, but damn when i think about it, this tech is very applicable to paintball.

Bolts, sleds, triggers, maybe even rails or fitting could easily be made.

I'm pretty sure there are printable polymers you can easily use for bolts.

Everything else you listed, I would want made of metal... Small CNCs are reasonably inexpensive these days.

laser engraving isn't even applicable to this tech. and 3d printing has a projected peak in 2016... so much for long way to go. printing organs, now that has a ways to go yet

i really think there is potential with gun accessories; triggers, barrels possibly, definitely bolts, hopper replacement shells, macro lines. who knows. the possibilities are endless

You can print functional AR-15 lowers .... sleds, bolts, pump handles, etc should not be a problem at all

Seen some in the engineering department in my school, it was one of these spheres enclosed inside of another one. Pretty crazy that it can make a figure inside a figure.

It can't print all of itself, but it does print all the little joints to connect the motors, electronics, and metal rods.

I took CNC programming in school, but you dont seem to need to know any of that to get going with it.
