It's not even to get it running. It was running fine for like 2 years on generic drivers.

Hey, if any of you go to malls at all, do you see any stores, or maybe the stands, that do general electronics repair? It seems like the perfect location for that but I never see one around here.

never in my life. the vast majority of the people at the mall around here are not even remotely capable of doing anything other than having the local apple genius fix the screen on their phone.

indeed. there are plenty of stores selling cases and apple products and so on, but no repair places. there aren't that many freestanding storefronts for that purpose here either, now that i think about it.
