Engler triple A-5

Here's a short clip showing Eric Engler, owner of Engler
Paintballguns demonstrating his new triple A-5 tank
weapon. System combines reliability of Tippmann A5
and realistic looking 30 and 50 caliber barrel shrouds
to create a weapon sure to draw lots of attention.

For more information about this weapon contact Eric

Enjoy!

Someone raised a concern over this new design,
but once the D-Day officials understood that the
'Main Gun' worked off of a separate trigger they
gave it a their approval. Can't wait to see what
it looks like mounted in the turret. I'm also sure
opposing players on the other hand might have
a somewhat different opinion about it..

Sincerely,

I can't say just yet what they're planning to model this
new tank after, or just how large it'll be, but there's
plenty of presidence for large vehicle based tanks, some
large enough to hold 3-4 personnel.

A nice looking build. But in reality is it really worth all the effort beyond I have the perhaps the best looking tank guns and can throw out alot of paint. You better have plenty money to spend for paint or have a sponsor (s) to provide for you with this setup. I personally think my two A-5 setup, set at 12 paintballs per second and mounted on a custom built swivel, with 450 round hoppers on each marker, connected to a remote firefighters size air tank. That can get at least 10K shots out of before a refill is more efficient and cost effective for someone to build and mount in a tank. Even with all that said if a person or team that has a tank with this multi-marker setup its certainly going to be effective. So if someone has plenty of money to provide for the numerous cases of paintballs. Then I suggest go with these multi-marker setups and paint almost everything in site. At the end of the game its the wildest experience to pull these triggers. But in most cases possibly 9 out of 10 balls shot wont hit the intended target. So really in my opinion multi-marker setups are a waste of money and not cost effective even though they are attention geters. Thats why in my new tank build with a rotating turret I went back to the one marker out of the turret which is almost as effective as the multi-marker setup. You spend more time shooting and hitting targets then reloading with the multi setup.

Cromagnum I agree to a point where multi barrel guns are just simply more to maintain and not as cost effective. Now only putting one gun in a turret opens you up for more down time if any issues should arise. Mounting 2 guns indepently side by side with different air fittings. Now I think that is the way to go. If you have issues with ball breaking, air leaks or just plain gun trouble, use the other one untill you have time to exit and fix the gun with issues.

Now that is a total awesome setup. Now just better protect the gunner in some
manner.

N2extreme1 - My current single out of the turret is held by the turret gunner. If there is a problem with a marker we just quick change with another spare. I do this now so any player can get in the turret and use his marker and paint if need be. My current air supply in the rotating turret is two 88/4500 air tanks with remote lines for the gunner as backup. I am currently looking for a smaller air tank that I can mount in or on the outside of the new rotating turret. My original air tank is to big and heavy for my rotating turret. When I had my two guns mounted in my old turret we only shot both when we had numerous targets coming as us or when we assaulted something. Then went to one or the other at other times to save on paint. Air was never an issue. In my new setup my old air tank is still used with its lines now going into the cab to support my markers and launcher. This worked well at ION in July.

Pretty badass! I wonder how much it costs to fire it for a single day in a scenario event.

You know what they say, if you have to ask, it's not
something you should even think about. Eric's new
toy is a man portable minigun which he'll be using
in a few weeks at Fulda Gap. Check it out and I'm
sure he can give you some idea as to cost.

Looking forward to seeing his new toy. Hopefully he will be on NATO's side.

Mexi, we're getting ready to find out. Our rear gunner for Fulda will be using a mounted triple Ion. First thing I asked my turret guy, "Who's buying the paint for that monster?" It wont see as much action since its in the tail position so that will help out our wallets.
