as long as people are playing at less then 300 fps, and you get new lenses anytime you get a big scratch or crack in the lense you should be fine. If you are really paranoid you can always just switch the lense every time you get a hit on the lense.

I could careless about getting bunkered in general. I care about losing an eye... -___- which can be devastating/fatal.

as long as your lens isnt 5 years old its not going to shatter, no matter how severe the bunkering

I have been playing for a couple of years now, but I have always had that fear of losing an eye by some 1 in 1,000,000 chance, just curious if anyone was taking extra precautions. You ever tried to break a lens. Its a lot harder than one would think. safety glasses is overkill. But if thats what you want by all means do.
